Nope, he would be S tier because of it. Unless you are being sarcasm, you know that there is no way a projectile ultra can go clean >400 unless there is some special thing attach to it (animation, charge).
That is why Super Guile is OP because of his U2. 7 frame start up while others are at least 10, no travelling and cover more than half of the screen with long active frame and 420 damage.
ridiculous
said by someone who didn’t even understand his old main to come with such statement is simply ridiculous.
Yun is used by a good 60% of the player out there. and guess what? there are people who don’t give shit about tier list and want a non broken game. AE is broken thank to the twins and Fei. So stop saing “i know how to play. i play Yun” when you drop combo even with him. and you still didn’t learn your old main Bnb.
people main the one who fit their style. who goes on the OP Army just because he’s OP is a scrub.
Alot of people learn Yun because he’s OP. Look at the Japanese rankings…there are about 10-12 Yuns in the top 20. And they would all kick your ass, so calling them scrubs is silly.
And I still main Vega…Yun seemed interesting so I thought about maining him, but as you said, Vega fits my style, so I’m sticking with him. I do plan on learning Yun though. And never once did I say I was good because I can “play Yun” which I definately can NOT, which is why I chose to stick with Vega. I’m shit with Yun. Don’t take what I say out of context.
then again. people learn Yun because he’s OP, ok on this one. and then you say that people shouldn’t complain about an OP char? People want a game BALANCED not with a monster char that press a button and kick all the other char asses. the dream of most of the competitive people would be all the mu 5-5. but we all know it’s impossible but we don’t want a char that is 7-3 on all the mu (exaggerating things but it fit as an example)
I fully understand that…as a Vega user, I know that there isn’t much that can be done once the Hong Kong Trio gets things going. But we have to learn ways around it. The update should balance out the characters, hopefully. If anything on Yun is broken, it’s that damn Palm of his. That shit could stop a train in it’s tracks.
you can stop the palm with the slide the problem of the palm is the number of active frames. they are too much and too less recover. but the real problem here are hiboxes and a lot of FA things. should safe, ex.lunge safe dp almost safe or hard to punish with some char, Genei jin, and that damned command grab that have a long range in a 5 frame. really it’s broken
I don’t know about the US, but here in Europe the number of Yun players is dropping day by day after they realize that Yun is super easy to beast on scrubs (you know, like the people that are here complaining and mash on crouch tech only to get stomped by dive kicks) but that if you play somebody who’s GOOD you have to space your dive kicks PERFECTLY (which is by no means easy) or you’ll get anti aired or they’re gonna jab you after blocking which will beat your jabs/crouch tech because the blockstun is ridiculous.
All the people complaining really must be salty scrubs who’s deficiencies are getting exposed by yun’s style of play. I SWEAR I still have to lose to a Yun player that didn’t beat me even before he started using Yun.
I’m still losing to the same people that I lost to in super and i’m still beasting on the same people I was beasting on in super, even if they switched to Yun (and yun IS a bad matchup for akuma).
On the other side of the token, when I use Yun I can beat scrubs and semi-decent people a lot easier than when I use Akuma (I win anyways, but with Yun I don’t even have to put an effort into it) and I still lose to the same people that are beating my Akuma. In fact, against really good players I do better with Akuma than with Yun, and if Yun was so easy you’d think that after 2 months you should’ve learned everything. And before anyone asks, yeah, I can do all the harder, more damaging combos from yun, not just the piss easy c.lp s.lp s.mp xx whatever, yet I still lose to better players…wonder why? Maybe because they’re better than me? Maybe because spacing dive kicks well enough isn’t as easy as you scrubs are saying and if you’re predictable good people WILL anti air you anyways?
Morale of the story: all the people complaining don’t have a fucking clue and are just lazy spoiled dudes that don’t wanna put effort into learning this game (and I don’t even mean the Yun matchup, I mean this whole fucking game). I mean, people complaining they can’t punish blocked/whiffed hk upkicks? Lol, i’m losing 300+ life everytime one of those whiffs
Yun is how a fighting character should be. Unless you’re OK with the SF2 way of REALLY bad counter-picking, you shouldn’t have characters that are just lacking in options. Characters should have different playstyles, not “one has a DP, and this one doesn’t”. So in other words, Yun is more fun to use than the other characters because he can do so much.
Characters should be buffed instead of nerfing Yun. Either accept that, or accept an unbalanced game.
EDIT: BTW, there are hardly any Yun mainers out there in comparison to Ryu, Blanka, and even Seth.
Yun seems like a sf alpha character in sf2 LOL. he just seems like he is built for sf4 turbo/hyper addition and the rest of the cast if your not a teir whore or a tourney player is rocking a sf2 character…
I saw some one at the start of this thread bring up sakura players, First week of ae i could fuck new yuns up…been playing blazblue and mvc3 and mk and now im getting fucking wrecked by yun…its like the rest of the cast is smoking weed and he is on meth !!!
i give props to guys sticking with evil ryu, he seems to suck hard, my week scrubby sakura usually wins. and i have not even really learned all the new nerfs and tweaks to characters i used to play yet!!! i make it my mission to play weak characters ,so i expect to learn and add him to my learn to play list… he ends up in my sakura, dan, cody, bum list…alpha 3 sakura and cody, made me stick wit um to the end even if there just Ok charcters
This is my biggest complaint. It breaks SF4 laws. When a rushdown character can build a shit load of meter from across the stage, there is gonna be some balance problems. Imagine if Rufus could do that. I play with DJ and trust me, I’m not a scrub. I can not stop him from building meter. So once he builds 2 bars my fireball game is shut down and I have to hope he does something stupid. If he does an ex lunge, he is completely safe and I have to block. If he EX shoulder and I block, I might punish with a mk which is about 70-110 damage (depends on the spacing). There is a certain range where I have to sit there and react. The problem is, if I sit there, he will spam palms and it ain’t shit I can do about it. This ain’t 3 strike, it aint fair
This is exactly how I feel in the Guile/Yun matchup. I can’t sit back and boom, since he’ll quickly outpace me in meter gain. Chargeless punishes are weak. Chargeless anti-airs are extremely iffy with smart divekicks. Every range is beneficial for Yun.
I want you to find this nacy-boy Yun, I want him DEAD. I want his family DEAD. I want his house burned to the GROUND. I want to go there in the middle of the night and I wanna piss on his ashes!
I never kicked or rage quit, ever. This weekend I kicked a Yun cause I was not having fun anymore dealing with his 9000 divekicks and all his safe BULLSHIT!
So basically you bash every single individual for complaining about Yun and label every complainer as scrubs, spoil and lazy. I swear you consistantly post some of the dumbest shit.
Other characters have to space ALL of their moves perfectly. You dont even have to use your divekicks that much since Yun has great frametraps and a command grab. And if you dont feel like spacing you just do a random EX lunge or a light shoulder
-The majority of the Japanese arcade players want Yun to be nerfed. There is even resentment towards players that are not that good but manage to beat top players by using Yun. Are you calling the Japanese arcade scene AND the pros that get beaten by Yuns salty scrubs?
-No you dont lose 300+ life every time you wiff upkicks. A blocked or wiffed upkicks places Yun in a position that cant be maximally punished by the majority of the cast. Some have to settle for just a sweep, others for a 200 damage combos or less.
I swear this is the same shit we went through with V Sagat, with Sentinel and with Phoenix (she’s finally getting nerfed!). There will always be some idiots trying to defend a OP character, while telling other to l2p, but in the end you’re wrong. Ono himself apologized at Evo for the horrible gamebalance and said he would do something about the twins. If Ono himself admit it and the developers themselves admit it and there’s even a patch coming out for that same reason, what type of idiot are you, trying to defend his OP’ness.
And I swear you should actually learn the matchup since Deejay definitely isn’t at a disadvantage vs Yun. Since instead of learning it you’re here complaining, it makes me think that you’re indeed a spoiled scrub.
You mean the apologies he made after getting his twitter bombed with hate mail by raging crybabies? Or did you see some “pros” asking him for nerds? Yeah, I know the answer.
Ono is doing this for the money because he doesn’t want the majority of the player base (scrubs, because that’s what 90% of SF4 players are) to get upset so they’ll buy his new game.
Oh and there are LOADS of safe specials in this game, even when they’re not perfectly spaced. We should nerf all of them and turn this game into an even more boring piece of shit than it was before AE
