Online Yun hate is getting ridiculous

I actually just switched to Yun. I retract all my previous statements. I like winning more than being fair. I went from 1500pp to 2500pp without losing. So funny. Now I see why you guys like him. I at least understood the hate mail though.

really? all safe moves?
Lunge Punch=unsafe
Command grab=unsafe
Dive kick(some cases)=unsafe
Mp and Hp Shoulder=unsafe

Ex lunge, well im sorry he has to spend 1 bar to be +1 on block,
and tons of people say,“well he can sit back and palm all day and get it back”

i say, do you really sit back looking like a dummy letting him palm all day, its not him being broken, its you because a scrub like the rest of the people who complain about yun. Yun has only won 2 major tournaments. Guess who won the rest?

Akuma
Seth
Fei Long
Fei Long
Fei Long

no Fei Long hate i see

But this patch is coming out so it doesn’t matter what we say, the babies won again hehehe

This Patch is really gonna nerf Yun’s Daigo
I hear their making Yun’s Daigo reversal worst than it already is

Good Players-0
Babies-2

Just curious:

Does anyone really think that Yun is getting nerfed because of scrubs whining? Is there anyone really that stupid? You really think that Capcom would just watch srk forums for balance suggestions, while they have a professional team for testing and developing balance (wich purposely screwed up this time). So its not because he has the best moveset in the game along with one of the best oki’s? I dont know if Yun really deserved all the nerfs but he sure as hell deserved the lot of them ( like the dive-kick height restriction  ).

Imo the only players that can really complain about AE2012 are T. Hawk players. The Blanka match-up has become a solid 8-2 if it wasnt alreay, if not 9-1 in favor of Blanka, because of Blanka’s buffs.

What you’ve just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

You joined a month ago Rain Man.

Are you fucking kidding me? Did you just try and use my avatar as a way of enforcing my ‘superiority’? You’re fucking hilarious, the worst troll ever. Dude you’re fucking clown shoes!

Yes and no. He was blatently OP in certain areas and needed toning down or something to offset the balance. Some of the nerfs are from whining. Do I think Capcom sit here reading our shit? No, but you’re ignorant as hell if you think they don’t listen to feedback.

They can listen to whining all they want… I hope they did. But what i dont believe is that they blindly changed the game based on it. No feedback from actual software engineers?.. no feedback from internal testing? Really?

omg I guess people can’t tell the difference between sarcasm.
Type up novels for a 15 word sentence. and notice the date on the comment. My opinion has changed on the character so stfu

You give Capcom way too much credit. If you’re one of the people who thinks AE was “intentionally unbalanced,” you’re not in a position to call anybody stupid.

It makes a lot more sense to pander to the whiners. From Capcom’s perspective, they already have the “hardcore” crowd by the balls and know they’re not going anywhere. They’ll just adapt to or pick up the next set of top tier characters and strategies with a smile on their faces, so it’s better to cater to the people who run the risk of jumping ship for the next flavor-of-the-month game. Capcom doesn’t really balance characters according to tiers or input from top players. I’m sure that plays a part, but not as much as their main source of income. The buffs/nerfs are mostly proportional to how many fanboys/haters a character has on Unity.

Did I say there wouldn’t be any internal testing? Pretty sure I said they listen to feedback and take it into account… But again, you’re pretty ignorant if you think they don’t listen to the public and make changes just to sell units.

Although I understand that Capcom has to yield for the casual part to some extent, thats not why Yun got nerfed. You could say that a couple of nerfs were due to scrubs whining, but there’s a reason that Ono said that they made Yun and Yang “strong” and found the idea of a common nemesis for all characters to be fun BEFORE the game was out. Imo thats pretty much the same as pulling the balance towards the twins, wich means that they intentionally unbalanced it. Your opinion my differ, but Im just taking things the way that they were handed to me.

Im not saying that whining has no effect on Capcom but some people act like the majority of the nerfs were due to scrubs. The list of nerfs that Yun and Yang received were beyond the imagination of any scrub, revising not only damage, but frame data and hitboxes too. This means that they got some non-scrub whining and realised that they were wrong.

I think (like most ‘argumentative’ threads) we are probably stuck. Only an evidential bulldozer will convince someone to believe an argument that does not benefit them. (And yes I understand that can apply to both sides, possibly indicting myself) And no such bulldozer exists. Ono with ambiguous comments regarding the characters design. A community in which 1% of the players can beat the other 99% easily with any character so any complaints by the 99% are just scrubs.
Tier lists made by top japanese players ignored (unless daigo, tokido, Mago are a scrubs) All easily explained away…

So eh… The game is fine.

And @CStatic… if scrub whining ALONE changed the game then blankas hop would have a 50 frame recovery and his upball would not be controllable. As I stated I am positive they listen to whining. But then capcom goes into the lab and verifies if the changes are warranted. Blanka is easy to use and hard to defend (at the scrub level) so there would be plenty of excuses to heavily neuter him hard (what makes him hard for scrubs is still intact in AE and 2012) due to whining. Then they hit the lab and realize as a whole blanka is pretty much balanced and only small changes are needed if any. So thats what I mean. Scrub whining can get them to look at things they would not have looked at otherwise. But i dont think it will make them change it. Eh…im a scrub so I could be wrong (see above)

Can you learn to read before you start debating this subject with me or anyone else. Quote where I stated anywhere, that Capcom bowed solely to whining. They are a company, they need to sell as many numbers as possible, not sell by aiming solely at the hardcore fans. As such, changes will be made in order to attract/keep the casual gamer.

Well… Then I THINK we agree. I believe that Capcom would make a change that they agree with for scrubs, but would not make a wrong change to appease scrubs. If you feel that way then were good. My statements were more for the general direction the thread is going, I shouldnt have directed them at you.

Mad? Stfu? doesn’t matter what the date was, you were foolish to think such a thing anyway, from the get go

They made the twins strong in the first place to sell units and give people an incentive to buy the new version. If there are 6 new characters in the new version but they all suck then its not really a selling point. It doesn’t attract new people or make people who moved on, pick it back up. You get the game and you immediately test out the new characters and them being really good is a good incentive to keep playing. It keeps it fresh. But those units have been sold and now they are simply gonna balance it out right now. I doubt they listen to anyone on this website and if they do its less than 1% of what goes into deciding whether or not a character is nerfed. They have lots of testers who are very good at SF who can tell when something is OPed, and needs to be changed. Its not a matter of saying, this character needs to be taken down a notch, its how should we do that while still keeping what made the character fun. Everyone knows Yun needed a nerf, but to think you can blame scrubs for it happening is hilariously misguided. Pros want Yun nerfed too. Basically everyone but Yun players want Yun nerfed. You can say he hasn’t won many tournaments but it doesn’t matter. When 90% of the field is one character, there is a slight problem. It makes the game less interesting.

Static, could you proof read that for me and correct my grammar and spelling please.
Your new picture is worse. Avatar…hehe. Fucking Dweeb. Havent had to call someone that in years and you earned it my friend. Correct that grammar bitch.

Whiners whining about whiners whining, and around and around we go.

Wow, you’ve been sitting around since Sunday trying to put together a response? LOL ok… IF you want people to read your shit, correct it yourself. Now wipe the rabid foam from your mouth and try again.

so heres a question, does anyone think that if there were no complaints about yun, would he have been nerfed?

Good question. My answer is a yes. Although there would be no complaints, the match-ups wouldnt change and he would still give a lot of characters a really hard time. He would probably be nerfed less but be he would be nerfed nonetheless. Like with Elfs U2. Nobody complained about it, but it got nerfed anyway.

Would anyone get rebalanced if there were no complaints? If there were only positive opinions, the game wouldn’t change because it wouldn’t need to.

I think the game would have been changed from rational valid complaints or if certain elements weren’t working as intended, but the crybaby casuals have forced a more radical change than if it were just the competitive and long-term fighting game players providing legitimate feedback - “waaaaaaaaaaah this character is so cheap” is not a legitimate complaint.

yup exactly, they wouldnt nerf/buff anyone unless capcom got enough feedback

Honestly, if you’re sick of Yun hate, switch to a different character and stopping hiding your tierwhoring by claiming “I liked him in 3s”.
