I’m going to start throwing reset stuff in here, unless you guys think it’s a good idea to start a new thread dedicated solely to resets or if there’s actually a reset thread and I’m being a dumbass.
First thing, you can OS Ultra off of FA crumple > crouch short (reset)> Dartshot. From the practice that I’ve done, you can’t catch anyone who has a 22 frame or faster backdash with this, but that’s only 4 or 5 characters. Timing is extremely tight for a 23 frame backdash, but 25+ and you can get it to work pretty easily. I am not aware of how different the character’s fall times are in this game or if they are different when they get reset, but I definitely have not accounted for it. The final thing is, you can actually be too meaty with dartshot and just flat-out whiff it, so be careful.
I was thinking about some really weird things that sound possible.
Max Range/Meaty fHP can get +8 on hit. On counter hit, this can be at least +10, which would link into crMK.
That is beside the point though. I was think linking fMK off of fFP, which should be easier on CH.

Just a minirant: You guys need to stop thinking so much and put it into practice. Everyone thought EX MGB cr HK x2 worked on everyone but I went into training mode and found out it was character specific. Same with EX MGB MK Duck Straight, I tested it and posted up who it didn’t work on and EX MGB LK Duck Straight LP MGB whiffing on Blanka.

Does 475 damage off a 1 bar combo. Crazy stuff.
old combo, not recommended if you’re going to combo into ultra.
Only works on characters with wide hitboxes like juri boxer seth sagat abel… deejay dudley… Hakan.
Better to just go for c.HP, s.LP, s.HK on wider characters if they arent stunned /crumpled for the stun.
I recommend using that as a punish combo after a stun//crumble since you can reset ater the first or second s.MP with an overhead or with a grab if you want to empty duck after the s.HK.

I wouldnt recommend reseting with that link unless you’ve already shown that you can do that link early on in a match, if you’re lucky enough to get a crumble.
The main reason why I choose to reset with f.MK c.LP s.LP s.HK, nobody drops that combo, lol
I like Dudley’s combos because as lame as it sounds, they’re very flowy. Like one giant vine of roses.
Just want to point out that I have potentially found a way to os combo a counter-hit/regular liver blow. If you piano crouch fierce~jab with counter-hit liverblow > crouch fierce timing you will either get crouch fierce on counter hit or crouch jab on regular hit. You have to make sure that when you piano you’re plinking crouch fierce with strong and the jab comes as a separate input. Otherwise, you will get something like 1 crouch fierce input and a plinked crouch strong.
No offense, but I don’t believe you. There’s no frame difference between CH and non-CH for the attacking char as far as I know. Did you record Dudley doing this and set up the counter-hit yourself?
I did it in training mode and I don’t have anything to record it so you’ll have to try it for yourself. If you want to get technical I can try and discuss it, but my Street Fighter technical knowledge is limited. If you go on the assumption that every input takes 1 frame (is this true?) and you do the plink 1 frame before you can actually link crouch fierce you should be able to get it to work. In counter-hit you’ll get the plinked crouch fierce non counter-hit you’ll get 2 missed inputs/frames and then the jab comes out in time since liverblow is +5 on hit.
Also, if you actually do the plink exactly right it should still work. 2 missed inputs will still leave you 3 frames for your jab to come out.
Dudley’s recovery is the same no matter whether the opponent blocks, is hit, is counterhit, or is hit out of the air. The opponent’s recovery shouldn’t matter. Dudley will always recover the same speed so there’s no difference to work an OS off.
Counter hit increases the hit stun of the opponent, it doesn’t alter the recovery of the attacker. I’ve never encountered a counter hit OS before. If it worked in training mode, I would think it was an execution error, but fingers crossed it’s a bug?

It works okay, I just wish it didn’t have to be CH to get the link to stand fierce. I have an easier time sweeping with c.mk, tbh.
that or f.HP which hits pretty much the same pokes f.MP would and more…
Not saying f.MP is useless or anything, I use f.LP as a poke myself ( it’s gdlk vs rufus up close( shoutouts to pr rog))
There are just better, less riskier options as far as pokes go.
Now If we were talking about using it once INSIDE…
I use it as a meaty vs people on wake up then EX Jet upper FADC on block in the corner.
Beats out people that reversal after the f.MP
I like using slipping jab against Abel as well, to beat the step kick. I didn’t know it has uses against Rufus…mind sharing?
I tried it again, and that OS is nothing more than wishful thinking/me manipulating the data.
