the standing jab has worked for me as an anti-air, specially against rufus when he does that stupid kick i dunno whats it called, where he lands right in front of you. when opponent is up close and try to cross or jump straight up, the jab has come in handy. wont work 100% of times but it does stop and since its fast, it helps. but then again, i am just learning so…i’ll leave it to the experts.

I just noticed that thirtyfour has already posted exactly what i was trying to say, so there you go, thats two that agree jab works on rufus.

question about duckrush upper FADC cr. jab combo

are any of the three, short/forward/roundhouse easier to link from?

and…

of the two hits… is there a bigger frame advantage if I FADC after of the 1st hit?

Ok Ive made the jump from lurker to poster but i need Dudley help and hoping someone else asks the same questions just isn’t working. Hi peers!

Why cant i combo j.hk, c.hk, c.hk, c.hk xx ultra 2 (yeah i probably did that wrong) online? I can get the j.hk, c.hk x3 in practice but for the life of me i cant land ultra 2 at all and j.hk, c.hk x3 just doesn’t work online for me, persistent lag issue, me or just doesn’t work?

I noticed on the first page it says j.hk, c.hk doesnt work… kind of confused now… cause it does.

You can’t combo j.RH, cr.RH because that does not combo. I don’t know how you made it combo, but cr.RH is way to slow to combo. You should maybe check your training mode settings or something to see if guard is on auto block.

As for cr.RH x3, the timing is character dependent. Some characters it is possible on, but very difficult due to tight timing, and some characters are incredibly easy to land it on. I also forget the list, but I believe a few characters it doesn’t work on at all. Try it against a Balrog or Deejay online. Those two are very easy to land that combo on.

cr. RH x3 works on the entire cast. The cr. RHx2 juggle after EX MGB is char specific. Also, I don’t think there is a single move in the game that can be made to be +14 on hit, which is what the elbow would have to be.

It seems Ive left counter-hit on. It’s a shame though, very pretty combo.

Ive got another couple i haven’t solved. c.hk, m.duck>ducking upper, h.duck, ultra 2 no corner. Looks like it should work but the timing is insanely tight to avoid pulling a ducking straight but crank out the ultra.

Victory Rose, ultra 2. catches jumpers when you’re corner crushing but can victory rose be used to open a combo?

If you’re trying to do the first combo just do ducking straight > ultra 2. It is easier to do and it will give you more hits from Ultra 2 than doing ducking upper, which will do more damage.

I don’t think the second combo is a combo against jumpers. That’s like a 3s reset and those do not exist in this game. You can combo off the victory rose, but it does absolutely nothing for you and you have to set it up like off of stunning the opponent or getting hit by a fireball just as you throw the rose.

Also in AE f.mk is +6 on crouching characters on hit.

On crouching opponents? Really? so that means it’s a 2 frame with cr.mp. Gdlk. so much easier to frame trap shotos and that CH. Going to check how it is in training tonight, thanks Kikuichimonji.

There’s definitely something different about f.MK… cant put my finger on it…

So in ae is the most damaging combo with two bars: Cr.Fierce > St. Roundhouse > EX MGB> light duck into straight > ex duck into straight?

Why wouldn’t you end with EX Duck Upper?

Edit: I mean it would do more damage, I understand the positional advantage of ending a combo with a straight over an upper.

No when you stun those three. you can jump HP 120 damage instead.

f.mk seems the same to me just faster.
