Summary
So upon reading again, I’ve noticed that right after Oden’s chat with Orochi, some people got shot and died from poisoning. So I guess Wano was taken hostage. So that’s why Oden is doing the shit he does… but goddamn 5 years???
Some wild theories based on this
Shinobu is the traitor based n the fact that she saw what happened between Oden and Orochi. At most, she’s a wild card in all of this. The two protecting Orochi (the old hag and man with the Bari Bari no Mi) are Cipher Pol and were sent there to disrupt the land and gain control of it or possibly the Road Poneglyph? Those poison arrows and whatever else Orochi had must have been a large enough threat to prevent Oden from fighting back. Part of the deal must have been to be a fool to the people to demoralize them enough to be apathetic to any future uprisings. Whatever deal was made was enough for Oden to say enough was enough after 5 years of humiliation. My guess is the 3rd ancient weapon Uranus?
Plus, I’m pretty sure Oden could have killed Orochi despite the barrier. Wait them out, or smoke them out, let them starve.
Oden has about a billion times more endurance than those two.

Shit, I’ve seen more live action Hana Yori Dango than animated.

Nah Oden wasnt a jobber that fight albeit a small sequence and not long was going his way. he got snuck though cause of momo being held hostage. wouldve been more interesting if they had continued fighting since kaido was in human form he aint marco lol
