8:30 sounds good to me Chris. I can have a few people over tonight for games if anyone wants to stop by. All I have though, is one CRT TV, and one Evo Monitor. On the CRT TV is a Wii, and on the Evo Monitor is a 360, but I could probably host a mini game night tonight. Let me check and make sure my roomates are still leaving for the night tonight, and if they are, we should be all good to play as late as we want. I’ll post up in about an hour or so if I can host tonight or not.

Holy shit focus attacks are way faster now. I have a real serious fear that Ryu/Akuma’s focus attack is going to RUIN the lives of poke based characters.

Sakura does cr. short > cr. jab > cr. jab > st. short xx shouken… does that working in SF4? If it does, I’ve never seen Sak do that in SF4

Yea that Ryu combo is common. You just dont see it in tournies cuz of damage scaling, but that’s pretty common, because yea, Ryu has too many links.
LOL I used to be impressed by J.RH > c.strong > c.strong > c.RH until I tried to do it the other day and realized its actually quite easy, even without pinking…add plinking and its cake.
I asked if some dudes wanted to head up to the last ranbat, but no one was interested. Now you guys are all interested? Huh.
You know I live on the way up there, right? lol. Takes me about 1hr15mins to get there. Not sure if I’d go this weekend, but maybe we could do something after you guys go to other Ranbats in the future. Wouldn’t mind having people over at my place to play some SFIV!

i have a suspicion that this is the CPU playing. they always poke your focus attacks, even on the hardest difficulty. perhaps they made them use better combos.

I wanted to go last month, but I didnt really know anyone around here yet so I didn’t wanna sound like a jerk bumming rides from people I didn’t even know quite yet. But I’m in it for the long haul. Whenever Im not working, I’ll be going to the RanBats, even if I have to take 3 trains and a cab to get there. Only when Im not working though.

That sakura combo worked in SF4. It just wasnt useful cause it does ass damage and comboing into EX tatsu is better in every way.
Ryus c.lk, c.lp, c.mk, hadoken was a cvs2 staple combo hehe. In SF4 he has that as well. I think c.mp, c.hp, c.hk (sometimes), and c.mk all link off of c.lp in 4.
