Funny cause warlocks use to be garbage. WAY back in the day…
I know, sir, I remember hearing about (before I got into WoW) how I should never roll a lock if I wanted to win in PvP. Then I guess DrakeDog showed everyone (after some buffs) how to play?
As for each class taking little to no skill, it’s all different. Each class takes a different sort of ability to play. I agree that each class can be learned (to a moderate amount) in a small amount of time. Yet there are some classes where you can straight up spend 5 minutes reading skill descriptions, have some idea from seeing them in action, and play at a face-melting skill level because of how OP they are. A lock is just that class. I hopped on a buddie’s lock a while ago, and after 5-6 minutes, I was beasting people 1v1 in equal or better gear.
I couldn’t do that using a 70 mage, and any gear deficit (especially against melee) that a rogue goes up against is an extremely tough fight. A rogue was easy to play at 60, especially because the smaller amounts of HP made the burst classes that much better. Now, it’s not so much although rogues and mages etc can still do super well.
Well raiding wise yea people would want you as holy, which is something i don’t mine, but there’s good PVP pallies as ret too, but very rare cases.
After a year and a half of playing an Alliance Holy Priest, I went back to my Orc Hunter. Aaah to be having fun again
Datass on darkspear. add me up on friends so I can speak to you guys. trial acct til this weekend when I get some money.
The con with that start is that you’ll get really bored after some time doing that because you’ll be clearing zones twice. But yeah, if you have the patience, do it. It took me 17-21 days (but i also fooled around a lot) to get from 1-70 on a priest and I knew the 1-60 zones like it was the back of my hand, and if you’re fast and know the game well it might take you 14 days max. Take into consideration the time it takes to get a character to 70.
What you should do is have a bank toon. Have him/her parked next to the AH or bank. Make the bank sell/buy stuff for you. The only delay as I know (i took my extended break 6 months ago, don’t know if recent patches have changed it) it takes one hour to send any item that is not gold.
also , if you haven’t, check out www.thottbot.com.
Also, I might be able to get us a vent next week for bwl people and darkspear. Yes, you can have your friends join in if you want, and instance groups on it, just don’t abuse it. BWL/Darkspear clan members, instance groups and related, then SRK members from other servers, will have first priority on it in that order. I doubt it will be full and I got a feeling it’ll have 3-5 people on regularly and 12 people max at a time. I’m a laid back guy and i’ll be lax on the rules, so say whatever you want to say.
The holiday season is comming so there’s a chance I won’t be able to rent one soon. Too many relatives = empty wallet, but my goal is to get on wow and rent a vent within 2 weeks.

as for how much time i’ll invest in my new druid, i’ll probobly invest quite some time on it, but after 70 i’m just going to go casually on that. After december, a friend will get a new pc, and if he wants to roll horde, i’ll go back to BWL, and if he wants to roll ally, i’ll let him roll on darkspear. If there’s still a community in darkspear, i’ll probobly try to convince him to go there if he wanted to go horde.
Anyone else see the irony in this?
Locks have been OP for ahwhile now. Plus, Warlock played Druid, so his hate towards them amplified x 900.
If they nerf fear they’ll suck, if they buff it, they’re too good. they live and die by fear, i think it’s impossible to ballance warlocks for 1on1 situations.
oh wait, i see what you did there.
damn i’m slow.
Glad to have you hop on board, Inverse
 Indeeed
For those of you new to the game, thottbot and WoWhead are THE best databases for items, spells, quests, etc. I prefer Wowhead because the interface is easier to use, plus its filled with less “Soloed as a bm hunter” spam.
Anyone have a fury warrior in pvp? Mine is arms spec now, but I want to try fury for pvp (yes, i know, arms is pvp spec). With the introduction of the S1 gladiator sets being easily obtained through honor points, I wanted to try DW with two glad maces because they, well, look awesome.
Don’t do it. I mean, it’s entirely possible to have a bunch of the pvp talents, like in this build. But you’d be missing out on second wind or full flurry or imp zerker/rampage. I guess it’s all about mobility so sacrificing those for imp intercept or BT you’d have slightly less survivability. I tried the spec i linked, 'cuase i have Dragonmaw and Fool’s Bane, it worked okay i guess. but without the ms healing debuff, one NS heal / swiftmend / lifebloom / pom / FoL meant all my work just went down the drain.
Up to you though. if you wanna try it for shits and giggles, go nuts, it can be fun, but having played with deep thunder for a while now, i can’t in good faith recommend being fury over arms
God I need to hurry and get to lv 20…I hate not having SoC and Consecrate.
So I got a new video card that runs this game at a steady ~50 FPS. I may return if I can drop my grudge and somehow lose my addiction to FFXI.
Also, paladin interests me. What’s that class for, usually?
that’s what I like about em. Each build makes the pally good at a different role. Holy for healing, prot for tanking, ret for DPS.
Paladin tanks (prot) are known for being the best for tanking groups, compared with other tank specs.
Paladin healing (holy) is quite good, if straightforward and sorta boring. (Great mana efficient heal in Flash of Light, and then Holy Light gives the best healing/time but is less mana efficient.) The complaint is ‘zomg two buttons’
Ret just got majorly buffed in 2.3, so I think it’ll end up a viable DPS spec.
And thanks to whoever gave me massive negative rep just for posting my server in this thread. I love you too.
You’re expected to heal endgame at 70 in both pve and pvp for paladin though. They are rawsome healers though, so that’s not such a bad thing if you’re a healer type.
You’re damn right I’m overpowered! I fucking hated locks. There was a time that I would spend all day gathering herbs for potions just to go hunting locks and see the look in their eyes when they’re like “Feral? Attacking ME? Sick’em Succubus! Ha ha ha… WTF? He’s still at full life? I’m getting murked? Someone save meeeeeeeeeeeeee!” thud
yeah I wasted time I could have been leveling but it was worth every fucking second!
Where is everyone playing now? I’m thinking about jumping back on.
Although it’s true that the game doesn’t require a lot of skill to play, Warlocks easily require the most freakin hotkeys. I wish I could find the picture, but somebody made a “warlock keyboard” pic.
Kinda like how the Paladin keyboard has two keys (bubble and hearth).
Someone made a pic of a warlock keyboard, which was a regular keyboard, but it showed their hands on it. Instead of five fingers on each hand, there were ten fingers on each hand.
lol, at the anti-alliance hate in this thread. -8k rep from negs on the alliance sucks comments. Too funny
