Yeppers, both series happen simultaneously. You’ll even see some characters appear in both series, so we’ve made sure to time their appearances so that it all makes sense continuity-wise.
We haven’t decided on more SFIV content yet, let’s see how this series does first. It’s possible we could do another SFIV series, or we might just incorporate our favorite SFIV newbies into our other SF series.
You’ll just have to read and find out! 
You’ll get your first hints in the Abel backup in Turbo #2, on sale in a couple weeks!

Sorry that you are not feeling Chamba’s work yet. Most folks seem to love him and he’s only getting better with each issue. One of our big concerns with the main book was that every issue be on time, and Chamba’s been able to deliver every issue ahead of schedule so far, so you can rest assured there will be no delays on our main book.
Glad you like Joe art so much though. Before the SFIV series, you will also get to see his work in the SFIV backups found in Turbo #2,3,4,5.
If you mean, does our comic stoy follow the game EXACLTY, we have worked very closly with Capcom and SFIV producer Ono-san to work in all the same origins and personalities for the new cast. That said, we will be sending them on a different adventure than the game story (a stragiht adaptation would be a little boring yes?).
If you are simply asking does Capcom have a planned out, full backstory for the game, well…all these SFIV story documents I have seem to indicate that yes they have heh.

Nothing has been cancelled, just delayed. We realized that the SFIV game was probably the best chance we’ve ever had to crosspromote the comics with the game, so we couldn’t pass that up. An SFIII series will still be coming, just after SFIV.
The SFIII backups are just a taste of SFIII to get folks excited about the full series
Probably not all in the first story, but it is definitely a goal to give everyone some time to shine eventually.
Turbo 8,9,10 will be the only SFIII backups, but expect some other SFIIIers to show up in turbo too. Yun & Yang are still around to support their “auntie” Chun-Li. And a few more characters might be skulking around too…

Hey Matt can you give us any hints as to when Ryu and Chun-Li are going to meet up? I know they won’t have babies or anything and that’s fine by me, but when are my 2 favorite video game characters going to run into each other? Just a handshake, or even better, a fight! It’s like they keep just missing each other all of the time… The last time, Ryu showed up in Hong Kong and she just left, WHAT… It’s like some kind of cruel joke.

You know, I actually heard Ryu and Chun-Li never ‘canonically’ meet up in the games. Maybe in the Udon comics it will be different.
Actually they have met. In Alpha 3 when Ryu is fighting the dark hadou he has flashbacks of people he’s met and Chun Li is one of them. If you play Alpha 2 Chun Li ALWAYS battles Ryu before fighting Bison so that might have been Capcom’s way of saying they’ve met one another. Besides,I think Capcom has already officialy stated that Chun Li is friends with Ryu, Ken and Sakura.
Haven’t they already met in the comics? In SFT1 he was standing right there behind Chun Li watching Cammy and T. Hawk fight.

-For SFIV #1, cover B ( I believe) I spot Abel, Charlie, Seth, Bison, and then some guy with black hair in military garb. Any hints as to who he is?
-Any chance of seeing a story of Bison before he became as infamous as he is now? Kind of like M. Bison: Year one, watching him work up his way to leading Shadaloo.
-Are there plans on a Ryu Vs Chun-Li match? I think many fans would love to see them fight together, but even moreso if they fought against each other. Well, I’d definitely want to see that :amazed:
-Does UDON have any upcoming projects for Megaman? Comics, manga, anything?

I agree the back story elaborations are nice. We got just a tiny peek at what you mentioned when Udon gave Rose some back story and the origin of M. Bison’s powers in a previous issue.
OK, a rather odd question, but…when writing Bison’s name in bios or as when referring to him in the comic, do you add in the ‘M.’? Cuz unlike other characters whose initials are names, his M. stands for Master or Mister.
True, but that doesn’t directly imply that they actually met, just that he stood behind her. Like Oprah and Sam Perry AKA her human hanky during Obama’s acceptance speech. :lol:
Meeting to me means conversation and or a fight, and we have to see it. For all we know Ryu could of arrived at that point during the tourney without having ever met Chun-Li at all.
Well, as you have seen from the flash-forward in Turbo #1, they will eventually end up in the same crew, so it’s a good bet we will acknowledge it somehoe when they finally meet

We could, we have discussed several times exploring the past of the SF universe. For now, you will want to check out chun-Li leends which features younger versins of many SF regulars including Bison. While bison himself is not much different than you are used to, other characters are plenty different…
It could happen. As you’ve seen from Cammy VS T.Hawk in Turbo #1, many fighters on the side of good will have to face off.

Most of the time when he is mentioned casually in the book it is just Bison, but we use M. Bison for things like characters profiles since it is his official name in the US.

Can anybody give me a full list of Street Fighter tpb’s available by UDON? I’ve been out of comics for a long time, the last series I picked up was Agent X many moons ago. I’ve checked amazon and stuff, but I couldn’t tell which ones were UDON and which ones were crazy other Street Fighter stories…which I might pick up eventually anyway…but priority goes to UDON.

No, we “fools” are not licensed to do SF T-Shirts. Capcom has some SF Shirts selling at their booth at San Diego Comic Con this year with our artwork on it.
