Um actually he says in his post that they’ll give a group discount if he calls in and reserves 4 or more rooms. I’m not sure how that’s going to work since he’ll need everybody’s info though. SO WHATS THE DEAL???

Also, I think we should all try to stay at the same hotel, because being split apart is going to really suck. I’m going because I’m planning on having a LOT of casual gamign too, so we should all try to stay at the same place…

Anyways I hope we get an answer soon so we can all have somewhere to stay…

Hah, I was wondering what happened to my post. I actually posted that info on Lay’s account. When I first called they said there was a group discount based on getting at least 4 rooms reserved. When I called back to try and set it up, they told me that they couldn’t do it. I tried telling them what the other guy said, but they still said that they wouldn’t do it. So it stands, the Red Carpet Inn has rooms available that weekend for about $40 a night. Javi posted up details for other motels nearby that you can easily be transported to. Simply call the numbers provided and reserve your room.

If that’s the case I will be calling as soon as I get home from work tomorrow. That way I’ll have a cheap ass room and everybody will be at the same place. DAMN the cheapest hotels out here are like 80 bucks a night…good shit!

I have the same question, I was about to call and reserve a room but I checked the texas showdown website and it looks like Javi is recommending a different hotel instead of the Red Carpet Inn that was posted here…if anybody knows why, please reply ASAP!

If that’s the case, I suggest that as many people as possible get their rooms at the Red Carpet. I’ll reserve mine tomorrow, it’s too damned late now, blah.

My recommendations are based on personal experience at these hotels. It is also based on quality of the rooms themselves.

Will someone please help me. I’m trying to come to this tournament and all I need to get is the airport info. The flights I’m currently trying to get are for IAH only, there are none to HOU available so… how far is IAH from HOU, is it a big difference if I come in from there?
