That is distressing news, and probably why the hotels wouldn’t give me an answer. If you’re planning on coming to Showdown, and can’t find housing post up and let me know. I’ll work on getting you housing and/or transportation if you need it.
Let me stress, if you can find a hotel room in Downtown Houston, thats actually not that far from the venue, and we can easily give rides to and from there. Housing will be much more difficult unless somebody can help out with that.
TS5 was so dope, and i was shown such hospitality last year. so something tells me that a 15-20 minute drive in texas terms really isn’t a big deal. where there’s a will, there’s a way, and i think ranma will figure it out.
If any of the out of towners need a ride to r from the Gameroom or to the hotel hit me up. I will be driving this year and I would be glad to help…just so long as u break me off with some gas money:wgrin:
Hey and its not so bad. I can remenber one year when me and 3 of my boys sleeped in my car for 10 hours just to save money on a hotel. I t was so funny we parked 1 block form the game room and played from 9:00am when they allowed everyone to come and to signing up, until like 1:00am that morning and then we went back to sleep and drove back to New Orleans the following day…
Those’s was the good days…

I had a lot of fun last year at T5, thats why I’m going back this year. After hearing the news on the Hotel, I’m getting a worried about where to stay. I was hoping if some of the organizer could gather people with this same problem to be accomdate them in a hotel near by to get picked up for a ride to the tourney and back. It will be easier than me trying to contact everybody who is going to TS6

I would still absolutely love to come to TS6 but obviously I need to have a guarantee from someone that I will be able to get housing and rides. I was ready to buy my tickets last night but I just suddenly got a feeling that I should check the hotel first…good thing!
Remember, if I come I’ll also bring my Xbox 360 so we can have DOA4. And of course I’m going to throw down in ST. SO if there is somebody that Ranma knows that can hook me up, please let me know! Also a friend of mine MIGHT be coming with me but that is up in the air right now.

Like I said before there will be no problem with rides if you need it.
Here’s what I have for housing. People need to post up quickly if they need to rent a room. We have a place called Red Carpet Inn, it’s obviously not the Sheraton, but its cheap and relatively close to the venue. When I called, a 1 bed room is about $40 a night, if I call in for more than 4 rooms, it drops to $32 a night.

Alright guys, I was able to bring up a list of hotels that are pretty close by. There are a list of 4 hotels (which I believe should be more than enough) within a 5 mile radius of the University of Houston. Better yet, these hotels are within close proximity of each other to allow for manlove and sf matches in the rooms.
