Official Street Fighter IV FightSticks & FightPad Thread (More on the way!)

It’s an RF dongle. The PS3 pads do wireless through that as it’s too expensive for anybody other than Sony to implement Bluetooth in PS3 controllers.

ohh i was just agreeing with you, because people have been giving all different kinds of dates from gamestop.

I’ll bite. How can Sony do blutooth cheaper then anyone else?

how r the triggers mark? i hope is better then the saturn one.bc since ppl need 3p and 3k to ultra those triggers r our only option. i play ss pad and while the pad is the best the triggers suck

Looks like Mad Cats actually did a decent job on these.

when do the sticks ship if i Preordered mine online?

I’m getting hyped about these pads now. The controllers do look huge tho, especially with the d-pad so far away. Great for big hands, but hopefully the d-pad distance isn’t too big.

Kotaku review is up, sanway free, but I didn’t know the case was made out of wood…

Quote from the review: “All of those high-end Sanwa parts are packed into a solid wood case that while heavy enough to stay put during table-top gaming sessions still feels fairly comfortable on your lap.”

Hrmm…

Overall favorable review, nothing out of the unexpected, I can dig it. Crecente really needs to work on his editing though…

ooooooooook

wood case?

so called “arcade expert” nailed it spot on

LOL, He’s already changed it within like 2 min of my posting!

Click the link again. It doesn’t say wood case anymore.

I guess the heft of this stick throws some people off.

I see. That’s good to know, thanks. Knowing that, I might pick up a PS3 pad too. (If I can find one…)

It is strange. 3rd party Nintendo stuff uses it, but I guess they don’t really have the option.

I could really care less about PS3 BC for the sticks cause I don’t particularly enjoy playing laggy 3s or any other PS2 fighter on PS3.

I don’t know how Sony does it, but at least one MadCatz rep has said that it’s more expensive for them (MC) to do Bluetooth than RF:

Hmm, as I read AbeFroman’s responses I don’t see why he’s against collecting. I mean, I’m a collector and I have some things that are in mint i.e. T-800 statue from The Terminator (300 bucks). If I had the chance, I would’ve pre-ordered TWO sticks, one for playing one for mint. To those that are getting more than one, more power to you and take special care of the sticks

By the by, I really can not wait until SFIV comes out. :frowning:

Is it really that hefty? It’s times like these I wish I was a gaming journalist

EDIT: Sorry for the double post. :frowning:

Brian doesn’t know jack diddly. Wood case, LOL!
