kotaku review is added to the FAQ.
Brian replied to MarkMan saying he thought it was laminated wood!
LOLOLOLOLOL!
Wood case?! Don’t these game industry people check their facts before they publish hog wash? Ay! with these new age kids…
I was reading the review at kotaku…

“When I popped open the FightStick I was disappointed to see that the stick’s Omron microswitches were all soldered in place to the PCB. This is done by Sanwa…”
sorry for being a n00b, but what’s a Omron microswtich ? If i’m repairing/switching the joystick as a whole would I ever need to replace/repair it ?
correct me if i’m wrong but i belive you can just replace the entire piece from sanwa
check out slagcoin

if you read it it will put you at ease the whole site is around DIY joystick building a little reading on that site goes along way
The whole PCB is replaceable…and very easy to do.
It’s the Sanwa TP-MA Replacement PCB Switch Assembly. $12.95 at Lizardlick.com
If I was to choose between the 360 or PS3 version to use with PC, is there any difference at all? Like does Microsoft have better driver support for Xbox>PC stuff as opposed to Sony and PS3>PC drivers? Or is it plug and play for both and it doesn’t matter?
Dang man it seems like on the verge of these sticks and street fighter 4 coming out. Lizard lick is wiped clean. And I does anyone know the wiring for a standard 5 pin connector?, I need to drop a fanta into one of my TE sticks when they get here.
From the kotaku review:
 There for the people who can’t manage to press the other 3 buttons, huh? I thought they were for people (like me) who don’t like the jp angled style button play (or the closeness of the stick to the buttons), and now have an easily accessible built-in alternative.
Top that with the wood case thing mentioned before, lol. Did this guy do any research on the product or did he just mindlessly bang away on it for 15 hrs? Makes you wonder…but yeah, even then, he still gives it a good review. Good to know
Well, technically, that is still a possible use, don’t bang him for it. But I agree that the primary reason for the 8 button design was the Japanese vs American style layout.
when has kotaku ever had any credibility?
The PS3 sticks not working for PS2/PSX games should be added to the FAQ.
^this
Like oh my gosh he worked in an arcade, okay… Someone enter him into SBO, he’s ready to go up against Daigo!
What’s with all the Kotaku hate? He ended up giving some valid reasons for his positive review.
Some of you are sounding like drama queens.
Kotaku isn’t known for its quality. One memorable moment was after the initial unveiling of KOF XII, Kotaku complimented its 2.5 graphics.
EDIT: Proof.
A cheap pair of button plugs can fix this.
At the expense of your warranty, but hey.
Gamestop Customer Service “Stick is Shipping Feb 9th”
Just got off the phone with GameStop Customer Service. The guy told me that my order for the TE and Standard Stick will be shipping Feb. 9th even though it currently still shows me “Back Ordered” on my order status page online.
