That’s a funny thing because on Friday I went to Gamecrazy to check up on my pre-order for the TE stick and I asked if I could pre-order another one, they said that can’t be done because it’s reached it’s cut-off point.
I hope people make a lot of money off of resale on ebay.
They won’t make much,the market will be flooded with them.
Most of the ones on EBay in the UK are Buy It Now - anywhere from 160 (+p&p) to 180 (+p&p). Crazy.

Interesting, one week ago on a Tuesday morning I called Game Crazy, off Crenshaw Blvd and M.L. King in LA, about the tournament edition stick and the rep informed me that they had no more pre-orders for it, but they’re still accepting orders for the standard edition stick. Now, this past Saturday noon, I had happen to be in the neighborhood were that GC is located and just walked in there trying my luck. I asked the rep about the TE stick and at first he said no more pre-orders were being taken because they had reached a cut off limit, but he quickly went to the back for some unknown reason, then came back to the front and checked in the system and told me that it was now re-opened for orders. I quickly told him to put me down for one and paid for it. I got a receipt to confirm my purchase. Now, it’s just a waiting game and hopefully it comes through. By the way they are having a SF4 tournament, XBox 360, on 02/16/2009. Don’t know what the prizes are, if any, but I signed up for it.
I believe you are right. Having Prime makes a huge difference.

Markman, As a collector how do you feel about this? Do you think it’s fair? It’s like buying a pair of "Limited "1 0f 10 Nike dunks only to find out that Nike is making 1000 more pairs because it’s in demand.
Frankly i dont think madcatz really cares. They deserve a lot of credit for going to the hardcores to create a high quality controller, but at the end of the day Madcatz is all about money.
The TE stick wouldnt have even been considered if they werent going to profit heavily off of them.
To anyone who’s preordered within the UK, I’m gonna be chatting with Mad Catz themselves (hopefully when a certain person gets back from lunch), so I’m gonna ask them when they think they’ll be shipping the sticks for us lot since absolutely no site has any information on shipping dates yet.
EDIT: Spoke to the nice lady on the line and she tells me they have no date given to them yet. Who gives them the date I don’t know but they have no date issued as of yet so don’t expect an early Feb release it seems.
Nice one. All the sites which have taken pre-orders have the same date as SF4 - 20th Feb. Be nice if the sticks were out a few days prior.

Well my Gamestop still says they’ll get it on the 11th. Too bad I’m gonna be working 730-430 that week otherwise I coulda picked it up before work. I guess I’m gonna have to pick it up during lunch.
Keep in mind its a TOURNAMENT EDITION stick, not LIMITED. the only reason it was produced in limited quantities is because mad catz had no way to predicting demand for such a product in the current market. the last thing companies need to do is have a ton of stock in the warehouse and no one to buy it in this economy.
Markman I hope you’ve spoken to you’re electrical engineer people to explain to them the issues that we’ve had with Madcatz X360 pads. I just hope I won’t have my pcb suicide after a few months of use.
Good point, don’t think anyone has discussed the quality of the PCB. I can only imagine it is atleast as good as an HRAP… :wonder:
