The reissue has been mentioned. I’m one who hopes maybe the colors/minor features will defferentiate the reissued from this initial run.
So you would say get the SE over the HRAP EX?
I’ll chime in for this one ^^^
I say the HRAP EX is better than the FSSE(FightStick Standard Edition).
Just my opinion, and basing it on stock parts.
If you mod it, it comes to a preference of size.
Would you guys recommend getting plugs for the TE stick? I know it’s all a question of preference but what would the majority of you say? Deal with the 8 buttons or plug 2?
I only ask because the buttons are fairly sensitive, don’t wanna resurrect the 6 button vs 8 button debate.
I personally have only ever played with 6 and they were Sanwa’s as well, just hoping for a little feedback from the community.
Thanks!
I’m planning on using the right 6 buttons. I’m gonna take out the 2 black ones and save them, then put the left 2 white ones in their place and plug up the 2 left holes.
EDIT Hell you could just skip the plugs entirely, and just print out some new art and just not make holes for the buttons you don’t want. There might be a little mushiness if you press down where the buttons used to be, but there’s the artwork, the clear sheet on top of that, and it’s all held down with screws so I doubt it’d be a problem.
take out your dremel and move them to the backside if you want to eg
does anybody hafe pictures of the adapter? would be intrested if its possible to insert the chatpat with the adapter since no stick allow this and there is no cable extension for the chatpat either…
does the non tournament edition stick fit sanwa parts?
Sigh
LOL. I’m actually a little worried now about my preorder at Amazon. Does anyone know how Amazon allocates pre-orders? Do they base it on whomever orders first? I literally ordered mine within an hour or two after they first became available.
I think they probably ship based on the kind of shipping you chose. I believe the Super Saver Shipping orders will get packed slower than the faster options.
it’s the same plug that’s in the 360 controller. So any small headphone jack will work (ie a wired handsfree kit for a cell phone )
I was able to pre-order from Gamecrazy yesterday morning. Hopefully they’ll be getting the first batch so I don’t have to either wait until march or I’ll just cancel my order.
The guy did tell me they only had 20 pre-orders and after mine they only had a couple left.
Amazon is the most reliable online retailer. You should have no worries. If you pre-ordered the TE Stick will get to you.
That’s strange, since they were supposed to have cut off preorders awhile back. Maybe stores have already got their confirmed allocations and are preselling those?
Awhile back, when DnD 4E came out, Amazon was doing preorders for pretty much 50% of what you could get them in brick and mortar stores. It was so big, that all their alloted stock was taken up.
There was no rhyme or reason to who got theirs. People who ordered a week before it came out got theirs on launch day, people who had bought theirs months before got shafted, and everything in between. A lot of people had to wait for second or third printings, months later, before their orders were filled.
So I wouldn’t be too sure about how reliable they are going to be if they take more orders than they have sticks.
Edit: Grammar Nazi Edit
the guy said his store started them on Friday and were expecting to go until Tuesday but now will likely be cut off by Sunday.
I had to go all the way to Garden Grove (I’m in Long Beach) and I fvcking hate that city to no end.
Hey Endless. My noobness won’t allow me to PM you. I need more posts. I’ll call him tmrw to see if the ship date moved up to the 10th was it? I got no such e-mail
Once again… I got to play on these babies, so don’t envy me. From all the prototypes I’ve got to play on for the past 5 months, to the final product, this is the best stick on the market that I have played on (and purchased, but don’t have mine yet)
I’ve played HD Remix and Tekken and it just felt so right. Perfect. I kept having to go into options menu to configure the layout since everyone kept switching from left most buttons to right most buttons, lol.
The cable is long enough that you can play from a great distance and without lag. Comfortable to be played on your lap in many positions: hunched, legs crossed, kicked out, raised, etc… I even took pictures of some people playing from different positions too that I’ll post later.
Not once did anyone accidentally hit start, the PS button (locked), or anything like that. Very adaptable when playing another fighter (Tekken for example) and if we had an SNK game it would have been an easy transition to it too.
Bottom line: You chose to snooze, now you lose. <insert coffee smilie here>
It was nice seein’ you again Rodolfo
Regarding 360, I think it would be wise to point out that it does depend weither the driver is available for the OS or not. I could not find the driver for Linux or Mac that are by Microsoft, so in other word, the “official” support for this from Microsoft is only for Windows XP and Vista. MCE is not listed and I am not sure if it will work with Windows Media Center (XP edition, not Vista).
Heres the “unofficial, not supported” drivers for other OS just in case-
Mac- http://tattiebogle.net/index.php/ProjectRoot/Xbox360Controller/OsxDriver
Linux (Ubuntu)- https://help.ubuntu.com/community/Xbox360Controller
and the driver for 360 for Windows if you are too lazy-
