I really suck at starcraft, I don’t even try to play it competitively…but I recently (couple months ago) started to watch english commentaries…I find them really interesting, probably the same way people enjoy watching sports.
I have to say, Klazart, moletrap and cholera are my favorite commentators.
As for the game itself I like watching unconventional and cheesy play…I love seeing wraiths/queens/scouts/dark archons or whatever you don’t normally see. when I started watching I would only watch things under like, 20 minutes because I was impatient, I’ve learnt to appreciate longer games.
I’m kind of stupidly terran biased ,I don’t think they are the best, I just like them…I also like watching zerg getting slaughtered…
Favorite players? Boxer, flash, Firebathero, OOv (yeah boxer isn’t what he used to be, and FBH has a tendency to lose in silly ways…but I like creative play) bisu, stork, jaedong, I also kinda like julyzerg…plus hwasin and hiya when they are playing well.
Cool. Yeah, PM me once you find your game. Just another warning, when I say I’m bad at Starcraft, I mean bad. I don’t even remember most of the tech tree :wtf: I kind of have Terran’s tech tree, but not the others.
Does zerg have any chance against protoss or what? It sems like archons, goons, tenplar own everything and anything zerg has. I mean, I watched savior and Bisi and some other PvZ and at the pro level is seems zerg has no chance. Swarm cloud vs psi storm, lol.
Damn… people still play this. I was Mr.SNK]ZeR0[ on UsWest and spent a little bit of time training with Clan ]GoSu[ back in the day getting yelled at in Korean to micro manage my zealots…
This is true. I just learned about SC and I’m trying to get into it. Except I went onto the ICCUP servers, and after many games, I’m now 0-10 and I’m a D- rank at 500 points or so. It’s humiliating and depressing, but there’s not much you can do about it, since the skill level of everybody at this point is so high. :sad:
Starcraft is super balanced…no race has a strong advantage over the other.
Starting off with zerg, it almost seems impossible to beat a good terran…but eventually you learn little things like how many zerglings it takes to kill 4 marines, how to scourge science vessels… how deadly muta lings can be against a group of medics & marines without firebats…etc.
It usually just boils down to if you’re better than the other player. If someone can beat you with one race, there’s a good chance they can beat you with any race. Unless that someone is me, cause I only play zerg.
Flash, Jaedong, or Bisu can beat each other on any given day.
If people still play Street Fighter 2 then you best believe people will play a game that is 10 times more balanced. And has arguably the same if not more depth.
