I think she’s really good, but I definitely think O Sagat is better than she is. I remember someone saying they heard Daigo say he thinks Chun is the best in the game, but I’ve never heard anyone else say that.
XD thanks.
Here ya go.

Chun Li is a program pad. With Cammy, all I’m doing is holding left after getting knocked over.
Shit chuns kneck breaker is almost a guranteed throw…
Consequently i win most my matches vs chun with guile by turtling my ass.
Sick post! Sick vid!
ALso, I just want to reiterate something. I’m sure many people here will watch the video and say, “Awfully peachy to preach your problem with the precision of a program pad, pal!” And it’s true: I can make an EQUALLY as daunting video showing the difference in distance between Bison crossing you up with forward and not crossing you up with Roundhouse and it would probably look just as horrific.
But keep in mind: the Chun Li one has no consequence. You simply CANNOT MESS THAT UP. Even if you are many pixels off in distance or almost a whole half a second off on timing, you still get the Meaty Attack and you still land in front! If you mistime the neckbreaker so badly that you are in a position you aren’t expecting and you end up in a disadvantage, you should not be playing Chun Li. In fact, you probably should stop playing Street Fighter all together.
However, if a Bison jumps at a rising opponent and misses the cross-up, which is VERY common, no one bats an eye. “Ah, he mistimed it…” is all viewers will think. And to talk about Vega’s Wall Dive is also moot, since we all know it was also nerfed and no longer knocks down in STHD.
So my main complaint about the neckbreaker is the ease of performing it, the inherent randomness built into it, and the absolute 0% worry of anything going wrong when trying it. Landing a Cross-up takes at least SOME skill with distancing and timing. The neckbreaker lacks both.
Big but intersting nerf for Honda eh? Hope it’s something right. Not too much, but not so little that people complain about Honda being overpowered. Since he’s my main, I wouldn’t want him too strong since nothing’s more annoying about someone complaining that one’s charecter is broken.
Just a quick edit.
As a 'rog player, I wouldnt mind if i could just play an oki game on the guy. Between the splash, ochio and SAFE blocked headbutt…sigh
as a gief player, im F*CKED!
Japanese guys say weird things sometimes. I recall TK putting Oro at #4 on his 3s tier list some years ago.
But yes, I would say Chun is #5 in the game and clearly a level above Ryu/Deejay/Dictator/etc. Her only particularly “bad” matchup is Old Sagat (and maybe Claw? I hear a lot of different things about that one). She outright beats Boxer and does well against Sim IIRC. In Remix, I don’t see her needing huge nerfs to be balanced tier-wise, but I would like her risk/reward fixed. Not sure if that would be feasible, though.
isn’t the beta ment to be over by now?
i still see people playing it
Is this the orignal beta we are talking about, I remember they said they would extend the beta because of the update.
You are quite correct! He asks, however, because the extension was to last until September the 5th… which is now yesterday for North America.
James that cammy av is amazing were u get that??
It looks like a piece of promo/t-shirt art for the new 1942.
It’s art from a Meatbun T-Shirt celebrating the release of the 1942 remake. You can buy it here: http://meatbun.us/blog/?p=162
I hope this gets released soon. Cause looking at those changes, I see nothing stopping Honda at all.
The only thing I can think of to compensate for removing his only real weakness is to make sure that he takes block damage from all attacks. Either that or they gave him a guard bar, but that’s probably way beyond the scope of what they can do.
honda is hella beatable… y’all over analyze too much =)
hey i havent logged on to LIVE is beta over???
i just got a new plasma yesterday i’m sooo ready for all these sf games coming out.
