Uh it’s a really, really good meaty that beats practically everything and gives you a free mixup into knockdown after?

Change the arc or the hitbox so it always crosses up and / or give it less frame advantage, perhaps?

I would have loved for them to make Cammys CannonDrill bounce off of it being blocked like Hondas Headbutt. I think it was said that it is safe on block “from certain rages” but it woulda been hella sweet with the bounce. easy Hooligans + bouncy CannonDrills = Cammy showin her ass left and right =P/

According to UD’s list, Dee Jay has lower body invincibility on his forward and roundhouse dread kicks now too? Seems a bit much if this ends up being true. So every time someone goes for a sweep you can go for a guaranteed 2-hit knock down over it which is totally safe if blocked. The short dread kick was the only one that had lower body invincibility before, and it had a bit of lag that could be tagged by quick moves if blocked. I wonder if they may add lag to the end of his forward and roundhouse dread kicks now?

Are you sure about the change to Chun’s neck breaker? If so, that’s really nice-

Heh I’m only sure about any of this stuff to the extent that the guy(s) who tell me stuff is(are) right. So… sure.

Edit: Neckbreaker is still the best meaty in the game even without crossing up.

I use it to get over fireballs.

I’d have just made the damage lower or something though, I mean if Ken and Boxer throw traps are still there, only slightly weakened.

But the back-flip kick(df+MK) is useful. And people do use it. It works well as anti-air when people are on top of you. For example, [media=youtube]oHSXMyZ1CIo"[/media].

Changing the motion would be ok, I guess. But losing the move altogether seems a bit extreme. I mean, it’s not a huge thing…but why lose it? I’ve never really had it come out on accident often to begin with. It’s not even in the same ballpark as Ken’s funky kicks or Gief’s hop, IMO.

Actually, that’s a completely different move there. She did instant Jump straight up Roundhouse. DF+Forward would not have worked there at all.

Ok, I feel completely retarded now. You guys are, of course right, that video showed up-jump + RH. Still, I could’ve sworn that df + MK is useful as anti-air in some cases. But maybe I’m completely off base :wonder:

johnny, yeah man, that move has next to no use. it may randomly hit when you accidentally do it, and the opponent will chuckle in embarrassment. But that’s about it=/

and her d/f+rh does not need to crossup. well it could crossup, as long as it doesnt knock down. Either way, like a lot of people have said, it works great for slightly advancing over fireballs, and is an incredible meaty to get the offense going and setup s.strong option selects and whatever other shenanigans peple like to do.

I like watching everyone in here debate on the list. some of the list is wrong, and its very incomplete. But it’s definitely made the thread worthwhile again. Once sirlin gives the ok, this thread will be poppin more. =)

I will say this much. D/F + Roundhouse would hit from the front OR back of certain characters COUGHCOUGHCAMMYCOUGHCOUGH just by altering the time by which she does it. Same distance, just different timing of when to do it while Cammy is getting up. The window where it switches from blocking forward and blocking backwards is totally arbitrary. It is literally impossible to discern which direction to block if the Chun Li times it right every time. So basically, you get hit by Vega Wall-Dive shenanigans, but what makes it worse is that the CHUN doesn’t know which she’s picking! So it’s even more random, and there are NO mind games left. You just pray you guess right and you have a 50% shot of guess right. I’ve had entire matches where I am up 90% to 10% against a Chun and she knocked me down once, did that move over and over and over again, and I died. It sucked. Really badly.

And just because I’m a Combo-fanatic, you just KNOW that if it didn’t knock down, Meaty D/F + Roundhouse would lead into some wicked combos with her Super.

yeah that randomness is silly. the fact that chun doesnt even know, and more of the fact that it doesnt even matter if she knows, just makes it redundant.
