doesn’t it only have 4 characters? Not to mention the tourney is going to be og st and not hd remix, so i’m not really surprised.

so i tried the patch this morning, couldn’t connect 2 out of 3 times. good job backbone, and turn the fucking volume down, why are all backbone games pre-set to such a high volume?

Ken’s jab SRK is like Ryu’s now, in that crossups and deep attacks will hit him out of it (as in, it’s not completely invincible on the way up anymore like last build). The reason to use Ken’s strong SRK now, is that apparently, it is completely invincible on the way up. And like you said, the fierce SRK is even easier to get hit out of than the jab SRK, but if all 3 hits connect it does really good damage. And apparently you can still juggle with it, but I haven’t tried. And of course, it seems great for combos since it’s guaranteed knockdown.

I’ve noticed this as well… what the hell is the deal with that? I mean, thankfully, they do include volume adjustments. But every game I have by them is 20 times louder than it should be.

It wouldn’t be too bad, but there’s a bug with the SSFIIT:HDR beta where volume and display adjustment settings are not re-applied on restarting the game, until you go to the options for each one again. For example, let’s say default volume is 100. I set it to 30, play the game for a bit, and then turn the console off/go to the dashboard. When I go back into SSFIIT:HDR, the volume is at 100 again until I go to options > sound settings and it (sometimes) then finally applies the setting of 30 I had set earlier.

Also, the sound levels for most of the game seem off as well. With the remixed music on, for the most part it seems okay (could be better). But in turning the original music on, things like character select, vs screen, stage music, and win screen seem to vary pretty wildly in the level of volume.

I just read cammy updates and her cannon drill doesn’t go under FB like cvs2? Fixed dat ish or shes gonna be low tier again.

It’ll be pretty stupid if we end up with something inferior to GGPO just because they don’t want to use someone else’s code.

I tried the new patch, the population is not happening, I tried joining and no games showed up.
I could only play if I hosted… then got bored of Ryu and Ken

Yeah, it appears to be the same build from BOD. I played a set of about 10 games yesterday. Let’s see…what was noteworthy. DJ’s upkicks lose to Akuma’s cross-up hurricane kick. That may be normal. I wouldn’t know cause I dont play DJ much. Also, T.Hawk’s throw whiff looked weird to me. Everytime I did it i thought i screwed up and did a normal attack instead. It may have been my imagination, but it seemed like Vega’s jump might be slower than in ST. But I could be wrong about that. Not much else I can think of that wasn’t already reported from BOD.

About people playing OG ST instead of HD. I think there’s a couple reasons for this. The ST tourney is today, so people wanted to practice yesterday. Also, the TV’s in the rooms at the Tropicana suck. It’s almost impossible to hook up a system to them, so for most people, playing on the event floor is the only way you can practice. And finally, I dont think most people have played the DC version much, so people want to get used to that.

it wasnt that easy in cvs2. then again, it wasnt that easy to throw fireballs in cvs2 compared to ST.

Well from what update I did read way back (correct me if I’m wrong), lp Spin Knuckle and Cannon jumps still pass through/over projectiles, so with good timing/spacing and the easier inputs (thank god, I mean as of today I’ll probably land Spin knuckle/cannon jump input 85% of the time in st, and since spin knuckle’s got like 1 second to pass FB’s, it’s annoying :lol:), she should be good.

I just wanna see how safe on block her cannon drill is, and here’s hoping cannon spike still reaches as high as it does in IITurbo. Love swatting wall dives with it :lol:
