My unit wonât read any discs anymore. I wasâŚand I swear I am not exaggeratingâŚone entire day passed the one year warranty when I called it in. Microsoftâs response? Tough shit. If it isnât RROD youâre paying us 100+ bucks.
Right now I am weighing just buying a refurbished unit vs sending it in. The pros being that I get a unit right now and if I am lucky, maybe even one with HDMI. Cons being, Iâm out maybe 60-ish bucks in the end, the machine may be screwed to begin with (and I have to deal with gamestop warrantyâŚyeah!) or maybe it is a banned unit.
Oh yeah. How about that there STHD the kids were talkinâ about?
when ever you call MS for warranty always say its RROD.
and of course make sure it RRODâs before sending in shouldnât be too hard.

We really need an update, itâs been a LONG time.
On a side note, this thread is now leading me to believe that the Xbox360 sales numbers are in fact half of what they should be, due to so many people buying replacements.
Out of the 20 million they have, I wouldnât doubt that 3-4 million were from people just giving up.
As for me buying new consoles, Iâd had to purchase 2 pros and 1 Elite so far. I know one guy who went through 4 consoles at a store before he was even able to get home. The 360s really are a crappy made product, and I canât believe that even after 3 years people still have problems with it. As lackluster as the PS3 is, at least youâre not afraid to turn it on. I stick mostly with PC these days, at least with that I get amazing graphics, and can pretty much fix it myself if anything goes wrong.
at this pace the patched beta may be released one week before the deadline

hes too good in ST but at the same time, hes a very complex character that you canât just pick up and expect to win.
heres what i think that needs to be weakened and nerfed:

throw range needs to be weakened slightly, like about the same as balrog and bisons level.

fireballs are a bit too strong for a character like him. i think they should make his fireballs dissipate before reaching full screen like in the alpha games.

too many good anti airs. maybe make some of his anti airs have less priority but imo, this might weaken him too much.
they should fix:
- teleport glitch, so he can reversal out and not into the same spot
- reversal super. make it so he can reversal super like everyone else
At the end of that vid he said itâs sthd is coming out later this year so is that enough to confirm an 08 release?

That sounds fair. But it seems likely that Dhalsim will get an extra buff(other than glitch fixes) that will make him more fun but still balanced. Maybe something like Yoga Blast juggling airborne opponents into Yoga Inferno.
