He didn’t have easy cross up dizzy combos before though. Now he does.
confused… how does he??
No one that played DeeJay has explained what this auto combo is either im inclined believe it doesnt really exsist.
Something I really think will be cool when HDR is out will be the frenzy of people breaking down the matchups for a lot of new characters that weren’t popular before. Lots of people will be using characters like T.Hawk, and there will be much discussion on how to use him and how to beat him.
crossup mk, cr.jabx2, st. strong xx RH dreadkicks stuns very often in ST (may be all the time, I have no idea). The second hit of the kicks was not guaranteed to combo before, now it does. Easy big damage dizzy combo.
Noone tested it at BOD, so you are assuming that Sirlin & Afro Lengends made no changes to dizzy scale.
So you think we can expect a new forum for it in the strategy section?

<polarity> someone pls tell him
<polarity> me and elcarpeto tested it
<polarity> and it does dizzy every time
Well I’m smiling ear to ear :wgrin:
I just tried that combo 4 times in HD Remix. It dizzied 0 of the 4 times…
Pwned.
Awh…
Just kidding I didnt think there was any chance it would be left in
It doesn’t dizzy all the time in regular ST either, even if both hits of the dread kick connect.
So T. Hawk can now whiff his SPD and use that to build meter?
Also a bit of a silly question kinda but does each character’s Super Gauge vary in length?
No but the probability character dependant but its very high.
the chances of the dread combo dizzying, was pretty high, IF, both hits connected. But we all know it doesn’t connect too often in ST. When the second hit doesn’t combo, every once in a while, the ST random factor kicks in and will dizzy, but it mostly won’t, unless you already landed some hard hits right before you landed the combo.
I’m glad sirlin said it didnt dizzy at all out of 4 tries, which tells me, it’s not constant, which makes me happy =)
Well I was playing HD remix online and I grilled Jumpsuit about legitimacy of Fei Longs improvements and he seemed less than enthused?.He is already in bottom tier right?? He has more bad matches than favorable ones, right?? Yes I know a lot of the game boils down to the creativity and intelligence of the player and not the character but–if i may borrow an aforementioned phrase?some character matches are essentially gross for him. I digress, so do you all believe Fei long, with his slightly ameliorated arsenal, compete on a tournament level and win, not just compete but win!??
Are you asking about ST Fei Long or HD Fei Long?
ST Fei Long: As I understand the match ups, everyone outside of Boxer has at least one disadvantage match (Boxer at one point was considered to have nothing but advantage or straight up even match ups…I haven’t seen a current ST match up grid in a while though)…and everyone in the lower tiers has an ugly as fuck match (ST is actually filled with a lot of silly matches on all tiers).
Since tier lists consider the cast being played by an equally skilled player vs an equally skilled player, well…you have your answer when contemplating whether or not current ST Fei Long can compete and win (the tier match ups say, “No”).
Factoring in that not everyone is a robot and equally skilled, then his chances become better (as you sort of mentioned).
HD Fei Long: you simply won’t get a straight answer until it is released. We’ll be playing theory fighter all day long until it is released. I am going to guess that the simplified execution helps him tremendously (and Cammy…omfg easy hooligan rolls into throw? J.strong, l.forward XX Mind Games baby!). A Fei Long that can constantly chicken wing with ease? That’s gonna be damn sexy.
i think fei long will be damned good.
he’s already a beast once he gets into mid-range - rekkas will make you think twice about doing anything, ever. and now he has a great way to get around fireballs, which was his huge problem before.
he’d be fucking broken if it weren’t for the increased recovery on chicken wing. i think that that will prove to be a good call.
i kinda liked the chicken wing loop. it only lasted for a couple reps. If other areas prove to be fine and still improve him overall, i can totally overlook the slower startup. my main issue with fei was him always being weak to fireball, sweep loops. I honestly think that was his only serious problem. But that’s just me =)
The pros who playtested this game are more educated and as hard as it may be to believe probably also more critical of remixed mode then anyone here so after countless hours of playtesting NDA’s notwithstanding isn’t the fact that jumpsuit jesse’s gripe about fei as the only complaint we’ve heard a good sign?
If the pros who helped balance remixed mode are happy with the end product why shouldn’t we be? I’m not saying the game will turn out great let alone replace st as the tourney standard but if there was some glaring balance flaw with any character don’t yall think a tester would’ve pointed it out by now? and that’s assuming sirlin himself didn’t catch it first.
For example there is all this hate on dic’s fake slide which we haven’t even seen any footage of yet. Sure it may sound too good for an already upper tier character but if it really was an unnecessarily powerful move to dic’s already great normal move set then wouldn’t a tester abuse the shit out of it to victory to show sirlin how stupid it is?
Random question: After watching the insanity dvd for the millionth time that hawk player (was it toutanki?) got punished by sim on block every time he did dive so assuming no significant changes are made to sim will that work against remixed dive?
