Hey, he could do it in in Alpha 3 with V-Ism.
Anyone got more vids from BOD??
Touche my friend. They need to make that a move in remix.
it does only during online games. and that is still worth bringing up.
And my opinion on dizzies has been liek this since 1991. I think the problem has always been there, and sirlin has reduced it to more tolerable levels in Remix, so kudos to him on that! and why would he be soft banned? most characters have easy to execute combos, that lead to dizzy, a lot of times. now, It would be bullshit if only 1-3 characters could only do it.
Iâm just nitpicking on something I always hated from day one. It doesnât make me hate the game any more or anything. I just rather be without it
I;m feelin the pain when it comes to Dizzyâs on GGPO. Its really amazing how damn fast you can go Dizzy in ST sometimes. Iâm hoping they make it harder in HDR as well now lol.
Hahaha. Itâs all a matter of where you come from, I guess. Coming from Classic through Hyper, everything in ST is a Godsend in regards to dizzies to me. Playing AE reminded me of that, where getting hit by ONE fireball from Hyper Ryu or Hyper Ken meant you had to block EVERYTHING after that. One Jump Roundhouse after a Fireball = dizzy.
The reason why dizzies are still good to me, IMO, is that they change flow. If you are waaaay in the lead, you can play carelessly without dizzies to try and land that last blow. They are something to keep in mind to vary the âmoodâ. When you take a great deal of punishment, both players can become aware of it and if the offensive guy is good, he will find a way to land that last blow. But if the guy who took the punishment is good, he can parlay that extra offensive mindset of the opponent into easy baits and Psychic DPs. Without the threat of dizzies, this type of mindset and flow will never change. It remains a constant throughout the game, which, IMO, makes the game a bit less interesting.
Not to mention that dizzies bring some of the biggest âOHHHH!!!â moments. See Daigoâs comeback on Afrolegends as an example. Without dizzies, those kind of comebacks are impossible.
Dizzies are fine, you just have to be careful to make sure that things that are easy to land donât do a ton of dizzy damage. So if Dee Jayâs MGU is easy to land now, better make sure that thing does little or no dizzy. If the Dread Kick connects every time, now, better make sure you reduce its dizzy.
give Gief back CE SPD damage AND range equal to ST jab SPD or WW/CE/HF SPD range whichever is greater, maybe this will help out
Dizzies are awesome and this thread is full of pussies.
To get hit by a big crossup combo you have to get knocked down at the wrong distance and then block incorrectly. If that happens to you then you failed, suck it.
One can still have dizzies that award aggressive play by only giving full damage dizzy points to the first hit in the combo.
Although you could argue that getting a huge crossup combo on the opponent is aggressive and punishes a mistake, that certain transgression could only happen once (i.e. dizzying in one combo) and could be a fluke (dizzy points varying) so that seems stupid to reward so much for only one âaggressive action.â
By scaling dizzy points in successive hit combos, you can prevent the dizzy from being awarded too easily and still facilitate aggressive play.
And i was trying to be nice
GTFO with that âI wonât judge the game till it comes outâ attitude THIS IS SPARâŚuhh THEORY FIGHER! =P
About hondaâŚI donât use him so I canât suggest what should be changed but ultradavid sounded like he had some good ideas in the last thread.
So far Iâm loving all the confirmed changes the only thing I was ever worried about was vegas walldive which now doesnât knockdown and fake drop doesnât look that useful let alone as scary as we thought it would be.
Itâs impossible for anyone to not draw comparisons to ST but as long as we approach remixed mode as the next iteration of SF2 and not the next iteration of ST I have no doubts that remixed mode will replace st as the tournament standard.
About the whole dizzy debate the mullah and jchensor explained it perfectly, basically dizzies add a little bit of depth, unpredictability, and wow factor into every round. Though the way it is now in st is far from perfect and sabre had a great suggestion to make a string of individual hits dizzy better then an actual combo and have each hit of a combo do less dizzy then the last.
In the beta itâs a lot easier to mash out of dizzies (maybe cuz itâs always angels?) so usually you have to be pointblank in your opponents face to capitalize on the dizzy which is a step in the right direction:tup:
That being said IMO combos should still be able to dizzy like they always have just not nearly as easily or as often as they do in st.
that would be dreamy. :looney:
James, I can actually agree with that. You are the first person to actually rationally debate this subject, thoughtfully. Like I said though, Iâm not totally against dizzies, and for the most part, I donât mind em in itâs current state, Iâm just kinda against em for getting them almost for free off a huge combo. I just think itâs more interesting, to me, that a series of individual hits, will do the trick, and maybe, possibly open up more avenues of possible strategies to landing the dizzies. Like putting a little more emphasis on resets to get the dizzy for bigger rewards, at a cost of allowing the opponent to escape, or just go for the guaranteed damage, with no dizzy potential, and less overall damage (but still high damage, and once again, guaranteed).
These are just random things that are popping into my head to just make discussion, so donât mind me
Or more like, donât do anything, because youâre dead. Messing up against an opponentâs crossup can deal 50% without a dizzy. That isnât enough of a consequence?
Zoolander, why donât you think on this topic for a little while before you respond any further.
In order to make it so Hawk doesnât just sit on the other side of the screen and whiff 360, which I suppose would be more effective for him than it is for Gief, how about just make his whiff animation last longer so heâll get knocked with a fireball or something if he tries that?
T.Hawk wins.
Wait. Either I comprehended part of this thread wrong, or did someone just say Deejay is soft-banned? What?!?!? :looney:
Iâm not really following what you mean, What specifically have I said that makes you think I donât think before I post?
EDIT: Chachipower was playing as ken and I was ryu just now while I was in the corner we both did an fb at pointblank and not only did the fbâs go through each other but so did our hands:rofl:
LOL NO NO, you misunderstood me, I was being sarcastic. On the topic of dizzies some people had issues with DeeJayâs dizzy potential, as if he has been raping the tournament scene with easy crossup dizzy combos which isnt true at all. I was making a joke (crap one should of gone with margalisâs response) that if that was the case he should of been softbanned like vega for his cheap walldive.
Hope thats clear now :wonder:
You talking about ST or HDR it happens in both games.
woah, am i on this guys ignore list or something?
:lame:
haha, my bad mullah. i totally didnt see your post =/ good shit tho
