As someone who has no interest in any next generation console, I do. if SFHD comes out I won’t have a reason to even consider getting one!
It should already be a given. Do you know how pissed off everyone (especially me since I’ve dl’ed at least 30 games) would be if we couldn’t play the games we already bought on xbox720?
Understandable but I bet if you and the others who have no interest in next gen systems were forced to buy one there would be at least a few non fighting game titles to suit your taste so I doubt the “omg I had to buy a 360/ps3 just to play sthd” posts would die off quickly:rofl:
I didn’t know xbla/psn wasn’t universal, I thought whatever gets released on them is available for dl no matter where you live as long as you have an account. It would be nice if it was released there but if it isn’t like others said not a big deal to me, anyways I wouldn’t be surprised if it did come out there eventually.
Hahah duuude that’s so on the money.
EDIT: Speaking of which, I’m expecting $20. The game is so over-budget, I’m pretty sure that if they were ever planning on selling for less (probably $15) at some point, it’s not happening anymore. This whole “extension” thing is a leap-of-faith gamble on their part: basically, “Will all these fans pay an extra $5 for the game if we put everything they ask for in it?”
i think it will be 19.99
I thought it would be $15, but with the rampant success of Bionic Commando: Rearmed (130k, probably trending to 200), now I’m thinking $10 is a possibility (despite their earlier statements). They’re certainly as much nostalgia for SFII as there is for Bionic Commando.
the years that are gonna matter most for HD Remix are the first 3 years of its release anyway.
nah year after release see if people revert back to classic hopefully we wont be. I still think SFIV will have a definate impact.
I’m expecting the game to be $15~
Just want to say that fatal fury was one of the worst online games I’ve ever played (around as shitty as guilty gear, sc and tekken). Not saying HF isn’t shitty online but FF was way worse.
every single fighting game on xbl is horrible except from VF5, netcode on that is BOOM!
ggpo baby
VF is only good with people close.
I have to disagree with the idea that ST is a community that is about to get splintered because of SFHD. The reality is that ST (and really, SF in general) is on the verge of being a spectator sport for the US players. Japanese blogs and youtube videos are nice, but they aren’t a substitute for a widely accessible game.
Some are talking hypothetically about Japan not having access to SFHD, when we do not have the same access to fighters today. Our scene is even fractured within itself, there are those that bend over backwards to keep up with what Japan is doing, there are those that grew up when there were arcades and can just practice around tournament time, and then everyone else, the latter happens to be the vast majority of the community.
I don’t think we can do well in a global community if we can’t build a strong US community. I’m sure Japan isn’t breaking down Capcom’s doors because the US doesnt have access to SF4 or the latest GGXX/KOF/etc… , so why are we up in arms if, for once, we actually start taking steps to get our scene going. Ultimately they are going to do what works for them, and we have to do what works for us, and then we will see how we can come together.
I’m gonna have to disagree also because the japanese have been getting releases for games that never show up anywhere else and it really has done nothing bad to the community. The people interested in those games import it, so they could do the same here especially if it has a pc release.
The game is coming out on PS3 and 360. The Japanese won’t have to try too hard to get it. It’s not like it’s import only.
…You can’t be serious. That is such a retarded statement.
SSFIIT:HDR needs a PC release. Steam/Stardock/whatever, make it happen, Capcom. Just don’t make the XBLA/PSN copy cost $10, while making the PC version cost $15, like you did with BC:R.
$5 is a small premium to pay for PC, considering it’ll probably have a much better longevity, both online and platform-wise.
Considering how many times this game has been delayed and all the new content added over time I expect $20 if not more. I wouldn’t mind though, I’d throw down $60 just as easily.
$20 is the max Microsoft will allow anyone to charge for an XBLA game.
By the time this releases I’m sure they’ll have increased the price limit.
I thought it was US territories only
If it is, it’s not that hard to download the game from other territories on PS3, which has a much higher user base than 360 in Japan.
