Ill be coming by on friday to play some cvs2, between 12 to 1. Whoever wants to play me come by then.
school has started, there isn’t a lot of competition but a few of us regulars can handle our own. there are some decent players with tournament experience. i’m there on tuesdays and thursdays from 830-1230 then after 5. always looking forward to playing new people.
University Battle
Well this message is concerning university battle. So far we have Mike, Chiri, and myself for cvs2. I’m working on finding a fourth guy, there are a couple people I have in mind that are good solid players. We should be able to bring some good comp to he other universities. If anyone out there knows any good 3s players please post here or pm me. It would be nice to fill in as many games as possible for U.B.

Hi poolboss. Could you have someone look over the coin slots for puzzle fighter? The one on the left occasionally swallows quarters without registering it and the the slot of the right never registers quarters. Pushing the coin return does nothing nor does hitting the area in case anyone is wondering.
do you play mvc2 at all dojikyo? i know you don’t like the unbalanced aspect of it but until 2 weeks ago i didn’t even know you played cvs2 and you’re pretty good at that.

Did it happen today? My vendor inspected both slots this morning (7 am)
Poolboss: it was on the 17th in the afternoon. You could try putting a quarter into the right side if you want. Proabably nine times out of ten it is not going to register.
Morph.: I am awful at MvC2. I did try to get into it when it was new but it is just a bit too crazy for me. At least in MvC1 you had a limited number of assists and no Cable or Magneto. It is fun to watch though.
someone fix the damn controllers on the 1st player side for cvs2.

Patience is a virtue, my son. I checked out the 1p side and sure enough, the up and left !@#$$ up when you play long enough. Should have it looked at tomorrow.
the mvc2 screen died on us at least once today as well
the left side of CVS2 has a new stick. Should be ok now.
About MVC2, somebody keep an eye out. I want to see when and how often the screen goes blank so my vendor can diagnose the problem. I know it happened today, but somebody shut off the game b4 i could take a look at it.
THanks for replacing the stick Poolboss, I hear there’s a slight problem with the lk button not registering sometimes for CvS2 on the player-2 side.

Anyways:
The left stick for Cvs2 is working VERY good now.
However, the right stick should also be replaced. I was missing almost all my supers and dragon punch motions when using the right side. The buttons should also be replaced, I’ve heard people complain that lk for the second side doesnt register and I’m having problems with the lps and hps coming out from both sides.
I say we should switch to competition buttons aka the convex buttons. If not, just replace it back with concave buttons. Either ones fine as long as its replaced.

The lp and hp buttons seem fine on player 1. I agree with convex buttons, pretty much every arcade uses them now. Even crusty broadway…well, last time I checked anyways…which was like…2 years ago? :lol:
After playing on convex buttons for what seems like forever, it just doesn’t feel right playing on concaves. Double-tapping is awkward and well, I just feel clumsy when playing on them.:o
waaaaaaaaaait…what do you mean mvc2 screen is officially broken? did you reset the machine to get it working again…that’s worked for me. hmmm as long as it’s working by tuesday morning all will be well.
