the only team that sf state can rep is for SC2. Nothing else…maybe mvc2…but that’s a long shot even if there are some good players…like 2-3…

I played cvs2 at UCB all summer and I can assure you I am fully capable of beating a couple of people in the UCB team. I can also say that there are a number of individuals who are capable of bringing good comp to the people of UCB. That’s fine if there are going to be reps for sc2, but don’t dawg the people who are wiling to rep for cvs2, and besides we sould honesly have reps for every game. This is University Battle not Evolution. Anyhow I’m friends with a couple of people in the UCB team and I can assure you that all they want is to have a good time and see who is the best at each game. I think we should send reps for every game posible and have a good time with other college students who are serious about fighting games.
Hiryu (sp?) is right. We do have a couple of good players on every fighting game. So we could represent … we just need have a second stringers on a team. Mike, african-american guy using A-groove bison, is okay on CvS2 and if Hiryu is at the same level as the UCB players a CvS2 team seems plausible. And MvC2 has about three or four regulars. I might be able to rep (not well though) in CvS2.
Had fun playing everyone today at state. Ill come again sometime this week if i have time.
Uh, anyone who thinks they are good at CvS2 id like to play you. If you can make it to sfsu anytime this week later in the evening then lemme know. wednesday is good for me around 7pm.

that’s right. “Team Gator Crush”. and I’ve heard that a few Rack-N-Cue initial d players want to form a team for competition, but that’s another issue. Speaking of which, Soul Calibur 2 got BRAND NEW sticks on left and right side. adjusted by our vendor and tested by SC2 players. I would’ve posted this on soulcalibur.com…but for some reason I can’t get through.

aaaaaah whats up with the no quarters today??? even the change machine upstairs didn’t have quarters. how come someone didn’t just go to the bank in stonestown with a 50 and get a bag of quarters. i had a line of people wanting to get beat at mvc2 again but they didn’t have any change to play me

PoolBoss - The 1p side stick still has problems. Even if it’s a new stick it still has problems…everyone said so yesterday that’s why there wasn’t so much comp since everyone was waiting for the 2P side…it registers forward by itself sometimes and diagonals still aren’t well.

It’s a little more complex than you think. $50? you’d be suprised how fast $100 in quarters can go. Fortunately our machines will be replenished around 11 today and I’m working with our accounting dept on preventing future instances.

The 1p on SC2 seems to working pretty well today. On one hand it does seem strange for an arcade to run out of quarters. On the other hand it does seem as if the arcade is busier this semester than during the previous one. I know I have a point somewhere. …:bluu:
I am sure poolboss doesn’t intend to run out of quarters (how else would the arcade make money) it’s just that enrollment is up. More enrollment >more people at arcade>more quarters demanded. Or something like that. I am just happy that the controls of SC2, CvS2 and puzzle fighter are in good condition.
well, the skinny is that our machines are just taking in more $$ than our change machine can pump out. But don’t worry. We’re going to fix that ASAP. I’m glad to hear SC2 and CVS2 are working out for you. I just wonder where all these CvS2 players started coming from. (I know, I know. Last sem.=funky sticks) It’s just funny that CVS2 went from “coffee table” to “the shit”.
jeff/geoff (sp?) it’ll be easy for you since you can triangle jump so quick. you could probably do the slide infinite too. if you play mags i’ll drop a quarter or 2 to let you practice it.
I don’t think i can triangle jump as quick anymore…haven’t played in a long ass time and last time I played I was just jumping straight up and hk’ing :mad:
