The next tournament will be 2v2 3S, that is whenever the next tourny is…
Pick your partners, teams cannot have the same characters. I never did 2v2’s before, so I don’t know the official rules to it. But yeah that’s pretty much it.

How does a 2v2 tourney work? Just like a regular tourney I’m guessing? BTW, and I’m all for having a 2v2 tourney (it sounds fun) but will we even have enough folks for a 2v2 tourney? Last tourney we only had like 11 players for 3S. But last tourney got a lot less notice and publicity… Hrm.
We GOTTA advertise it as much as we can this time, near the tournament day the SFSU tourny thread wasn’t even on the first page of the Tourny board. Nor did Poolboss post up the full results on the results board, maybe that could’ve let people know that we are starting to have tournies.
As for the 2v2, I think it should be double elimination. But just best 1 out of 1 for everyone, or did I say that right?
If it’s a small amount of teams, winner takes all the pot. If thre’s a lot somehow, then 70/20/10 split.
I think all team tournies are last man standing (kof style).

Marvel needs to be checked again please. The right side, Player 1 is a bit off when trying to crouch/ block. It may not seem noticable, but its there some discrepency. Be great if you can check it. Thanks.

The left side (player 1) [MvC2] stick feels pretty funky though. Feels like someone spilled soda in there or something.
3S 2p stick is really bad to me, but I only feel it when I use Urien, I can’t do charge moves at all, got me pretty damn mad. Diagonals are bad as well, can’t block low.
Why is it always the 2p stick…
They replaced it with a new one recently, and it’s going bad again?
I find the down diagonals to be bad all the time with the 2P stick, and you can really feel it when you use charge characters.

BTW, how did the other tournies go? Were they run well? 3S went pretty smoothly I think. Poolboss please start looking for another empty slot on a Saturday!
More people would have showed if it was a friday. At least that’s how I feel.
Another factor was the relatively short notice. A lot of the SFSU regulars work on saturdays. What’s the point of having an SFSU tourny when a lot of regulars can’t show?
In my opinion we should try to scheduale the tournies around the people who spend the most time at the Rack-&-Cue. There were a lot of people that I know that would have liked to have the tourny on friday.
If there are people who are willing to show up on friday and someone to run each game, then go for it. you really don’t need me to set up a date for that. Any given friday will do.
We’re looking at a december saturday for the next event though. That should give you plenty of time. Once again, games will not happen with out people to run them. I will make flyers (through our publicity dept. this time), and we will have the video game guy on hand which will mean event mode and possible free play.
What time do you usuall start events? Mornings? Or Afternoons say after 2ish.
