Hey guyz, first time poster, long time lurker…
i’ve been reading these forums for a while, and this is my first post, i go to SF State and as you can see from my name i play marvel mostly, but i understand about the other games…
i agree with what everyone else is saying, especially kyohiryu and rushdown, I’ve been at state for almost 3 years and it barely has changed. the only game that has been worth while in a while was guity gear reload, and even with that, the controls are constantly broken, and it seems like it takes weeks to fix because the notices on the top of the machine has been there ever since i could remember when
Ultracade 1P side is kind of weird, it needs to be recalibrated, guilty gear 1p is broken, neogeo machine 1p side stick is like…bent in or something? ttt sticks are not even calibrated right, diagionals barely work.
it seems like everytime someone here says something, poolboss says he’ll do something but in the last 3 years, we’ve got onl gg reload which is a pretty big deal since not a lot of places have reload, but still, with constant controls broken it doesn’t matter. 3 years, not eveen 3rd strike when it’s 7 years old almost.
im not taking any sides, but poolboss you need to shape up, your vendors suck if they cant even fix controls or bring in older popular games in like 3rd strike or tekken.
maybe rushdown and some others here are kinda sounding harsh by the way say things in their post, and you don’t like it or something but they are right, it’s been too long and we’ve been supporting the arcade with our quarters and coming down often to see if the arcade has even made an effort to change. it does get frustrating. rushdown complemented you about gg #reload and how the hell you got it, not just him, but lots of othres as well because that was an amazing feat. if you can get #reload (you even got the right colored version), why can’t you get easy games like 3rd strike or tekken 5.1 or at least tekken dark ressurection? or even a working cvs2 board.
sorry for the long post, but this is a customers input. ppl have stated they’ll come more often and put more money obviously if they come if you have the right games. i’d like to talk with you about the situation about this place on AIM if possible, because i want to help and like to know what EXACTLY is wrong and how you cannot get these games.

ps. good quote alax, may 11th and it’s 3 days before september 4 LONG months. how long does it take for a cabinet to be made, let alone if you guys are even building it correctly with card readers and ps2 ports
get rid of TTT for T5, the ultracade stays but it needs better sticks. either perfect 360s or 8 way comepetitions.
and bring back cvs2. this time with either perfect 360 sticks or 8 ways with a bigger cabinet.
does mvc2 have sentinel yet?
yeah marvel has all the characters. whats the best day for marvel competition? im probably gonna go on wednesday since there were a lot of people there last wednesday.

i think poolboss just knows pool more than arcades and games, he should just leave the gaming to us
or he can go back to playing his ducktales game on the tv

You know. You may think I’m against you, but I 'm not. Think of one good reason why I would have the games the way they are if I didn’t have that kind of control over them.
It ok to bash on me because you guys don’t have anyone else to complain to. That’s ok It’s what I do. Yes, those were my words about T5 and I’ve told you guys exacty what I was told. There is no subterfuge going on here.
Jeff, you should know better than everyone else why it is what it is, because i’ve told you. I’ve never said I know everything about video games and I have never claimed to. When you guys post here. Those words get passed down to those who need to see them.
To say I don’t listen to you guys is wrong. This is where I go to hear what you truly feel about the games.

So poolboss let me ask you this. Were you the one playing Ultracade? Do you even play it?
Who’s been the one helping you with most, if not, ALL of the tournaments? Who;s the one supplying you most of the info for all the games?
Bottom line is that all you say everytime someone asks you about new games you go “I don’t know.”
Saying that all the time…well…don’t you supposed we’ll bash? Does saying that give you the title of poolboss? or even the word boss in your name?
Saying I don’t know each and every time shows us what? You’re in the 3rd grade again saying you don’t know to run away from problems or save yourself from disappointment? OK.

ps - I didn’t know I can make a grown man hurt by trying to improve the arcade.
If you’re going to tell me to give you a good reason that you’re keeping the games the way you are if you’re not “against me” which I don’t think you are, why don’t you give me one good reason you can’t do what you say you’ll do like bring in the games you say you will?
As far as I’m know, I’m the only one who’s been talking to you face to face, while everyone else here is only posting online. Shouldn’t that tell you that I’m taking action and care about this arcade?
So stop thinking I’m bashing on you when I’ve been doing nothing but trying to make the arcade better.
wow. that’s some carpel tunnel right there. I don’t have a problem with what you know. Frankly, that is why I look to the posts because I know that you guys know what you’re talking about. That’s right. I did say that about the ultracade, but all you said was it was broken you weren’t specific.
I don’t have a problem with what you know, I actually respect you for that. I have a problem with your shit attitude that looks more like flaming than actual criticism.

It’s funny you said that. We have just signed up with On Campus today and they will be bringing Bearcade and SJSU quality games to SFSU shortly.

I forgot to mention around noon today, the 1P side of GG is busted again for some reason…no joke.
Please check the machine or ask someone like that asian guy with glasses with the black jacket to confirm.
Props to poolboss for geting thisdone for us. And props to everyone that complained their brains out for change.
If all goes as planned, We’re trying to make this change happen as soon as next thursday. Don’t be suprised if the video game alley will be shut down for a day or two. And this guy said T5.1 is on the list. As to the cabinet size, I couldn’t speculate.
