glad to hear. I haven’t posted it here yet but it looks like we’ll be in business for tourney come march 13th. Right after university battle. Mr. Rushdown is your contact.
BTW: its only three games for this tourney. hope you all know that I would have happily brought in CVS2 or Puzzle Fighter if you could have found someone to run it. oh well, que sera sera.
soul calibur 2 is completely dead :o
i wouldn’t normally care except i know there’s some tournament thing happening soon so people need to practice and what not.
funny thing happend while playing marvel today…my controls died for like 15 seconds. only myself playing…forget which side, but i was rotating the stick in a 360 motion and my character just stood there. then it started working again. is there a long term fix to the marvel cabinet in the works?
I’ve given my vendor some ideas and we should have a few new things coming up pretty soon. For you MVC2 people, if you’ve waited this long, then you can wait a little longer. I’m not going to post up anything or any changes until they actually happen, but just letting you know that I’m not forgeting about anyone.
The first time I ever played at SF State was yesterday. You guys have OK competition, but as an outsider who’s been to other arcades around the Bay, I do have to say that MvC2 and CVS2 need new buttons, better button spacing, and better joysticks. THEY’re TERRIBLE! So many times I’ve ment to blcok, or charge, or dodge kick/roll, and it just wasn’t working legit.
Stiffer Sticks, smoother, more acuratley measured buttons= more competition, and KINGS will come!
I use to say the same thing… A perfect example of bad sticks and buttons with fewer competition is Rent-a-Cop Center Castro Valley Golfland… The KINGS want the best… Just ask someone like Riki, or Choi, or Dr. B… The people who are really good, and those, like me, who hate ultra sensitive hardware are very particular about their cabinets. But it’s up to you guys what you want to do.
You’ve got some great players, and a cool atmosphere. I enjoyed myslef yesterday, but I felt I wasn’t playing 100%, but that’s just me.
We just recently acquired KOF 2003 and SVC Chaos. However, our KOF 2003 might have a glitch that may result in it getting prematurely pulled. So keep your fingers crossed! Oh yeah, we got metal slug 5 too.
i know it’s the same tune over and over but marvel is acting up again. it’s not nearly as bad as before but probably 10% of the time controls will lock up again…as of now it’s still playable for 2 people if both just back off when it happens since it only lasts a few seconds. since the motherboard has been replaced maybe the switches and wiring could get looked over whenever.
KOF 2003 was replaced with a new cartridge and it seems to be A-ok. I’ll check on MVC2, but as everything goes while I take your word, I can’t diagnose air. I gots to verify before anything can be done.
