Official Pokemon Thread ver 3.0: PokeMMO: The Future Of Pokemon? (B/W 2 OUT NOW!)

thumbs up soldier. That game is ass.

~

The disaster in Japan was very tragic, and I hope their recover is swift. With that said, I am a little bummed that I won’t get to check out this Dream World stuff sooner. I’ll live.

Anyone else annoyed with the Royal Unova boat? I go there after midnight: “We only sail at evening. Sucks to be you. Get a life.”

FFFFFFFFFUUUUU

Finally go there during the right hours, and I fight crappy trainers and get no items. worthless!

Wait a sec… there’s an MVC3!!! Next thing you know you’ll tell me that there’s a sequel for Smash Bros. Melee too.

Dream World delay sucks balls, but it’s understandable. Oh wellz, now I really don’t have to rush to beat this game.

yes I caught an adamant fraxure! finally! it took 4 fucking days though :frowning:

it’s rivalry, but you know what? now that I about it, maybe rivalry is best suited for ingame play. You won’t be mold breaking many things ingame as you would to say getting the extra ATK about 50% of the time. I’m at the E4 now, but I want all my pokemon to be at least LV50 before I go in…

Caitilin has a Bronzong and Cynthia has a Eelektross.

Haxorus is overrated IMO. If he doesn’t go first he’s toast =/

The jump in difficulty after you beat the game is huge, freaking random trainers with level 60-70’s.

Are you able to transfer pokemon from GBA games onto B/W? I know it was available in D/P. Does it work the same way where you have to beat the game and then go to a transfering center? Thanks!

GBA transferring isn’t in B/W unfortunately. Gonna have to transfer to Gen4 then send it from there to B/W.

I think N has the most badass theme in pokemon lol, I need this on my zune.

About Haxorus: 97 base speed is respectable, what most people don’t look at is his pure dragon typing. It was most annoying having every dragon locked into flying or some other typing. Resistances to Fire/Water/Electric/Grass is great, you’ll see a lot of trainers throwing those at you. Combined with Mold Breaker and that ATK, he will be OU no question.

I just beat the game, hearing how hard the post-game is makes me want to LV grind audinos. But first, I want to get all the good TMs like EQ. Haxrous without EQ is a crime.

That may be, but that doesn’t make the ferris wheel scene any less disturbing. I swear, I was expecting there to be a Lester the Molester Van parked outside after that ride was over… :wtf:

What kind of pokemon will I run up against in the E4? I want to make sure I have the right pokemon

Anything that is a good psychic/ghost killer. One trainer uses psychic, another ghost. Get a good crunch/dark user going and you have two of the elite 4 gone. Another uses fighting which isnt that big a deal, but the last user is a dark type so pack a counter to that.

Basically the whole theme of the elite 4 seems to revolve around the dark>ghost>psychic>fighting chain.

http://www.psypokes.com/bw/gymelites.php?view=elites1
you’ll run into psychic, fighting, ghost, and dark trainers respectively.

the fighting one use a fully evolved timbur I think, also sawk and throh. Beware because all his pokemon have stone edge, and sometimes they will grass knot bulky waters.

the ghost one has a cofagrigus, which is the annoyer. The rest of seem pretty defensive, one’s a water/ghost the other ground/ghost. Chandelure rounds out the team for offensive purposes.

the dark one has a fully evolved sandile, this bastard ohko’d my excadrill so beware. He’s probably the easiest one if you can take out either krookidile or bisharp quickly.

the psychic one is probably the hardest out of all of them, all her pokemon have great movesets and VERY high special stats. She has a Sigilyph, yeah that flying bastard in the desert. Watch out for her Gothitelle, if it gets in one or two calm minds you’ll be in for it when she strikes.
Even though I don’t really comp battle I’m pissed my Wi-Fi sucks ass. I have a few who battle semi-competitively (natures and movesets mainly) and I’d love to battle them. But I don’t think my team right now is up to snuff…I might end up starting over but I don’t feel like Nature hunting again. I ended up settling for neutral natures out of frustration. :bluu:

Edit: Oh screw it, I’m starting over. I found a decent guide as well so I’ll be able to get a lot of stuff I missed. Not too much of a hurt because I wasn’t mad far into the game (4th Gym).

Double Edit: Okay so I’ve kinda already decided what team I’d want to use and I wanted you guys’ opinions on it.

Ultimately it would be something along the lines of…

Samurott
Krookodile OR Excadrill
Galvantula
Whimsicott OR Leavanny
Gurdurr OR Sawk
Mandibuzz

Keep in mind this is a solely in-game team.

Thanks in advance for any comments.

I can relate on the nature hunting. I reset several times trying to get a good Tirotouga and caught a bunch of Sandiles trying to find one without a terrible natures and just settled for neutrals. I figured since I wasn’t even going to EV train until post-game anyway I wouldn’t worry about natures until then. I feel sorry for the people who feel compelled to get good natures AND IVs. If I get terrible IVs I usually just cut my losses if I finally get the nature/ability combo I want, heh.

I don’t think you’ll have too many problems with those guys. If you have Galvantula I would suggest Whimiscott over Leavanny since Bug/Elec gives more coverage than Bug/Grass. I’m very happy with my Krookodile w/Moxie, but I hear Excadrill is very good too. I would maybe go Krook+Sawk/Gurdurr or Excadrill+Scrafty since either way you get a nice fighting/dark/ground STAB combo. Mandibuzz is good too, she’s bulky and learns Roost through breeding, but she comes very late in-game and doesn’t evolve from Vullaby until 54, so you might wanna find a surrogate flyer until then.

Am I crazy, or is Lilligant not frightening as hell? Quiver Dance and Giga Drain/Leaf Storm alone on a base 110 SpA and base 90 Spd seems pretty mean to me… forget that one can sit there on any combo of LS/Toxic/Ingrain as well…

Yeah, but its a Grass-type, which means it has a bajillion weaknesses to exploit such as Fire, Bug, Flying, Ice,(and Poison, but I think I’m the only person on Earth who uses Poison-types) which are commonplace on multiple pokemon teams.

That said, if it can set-up a Dance or two, it could possibly break a few teams down. Don’t forget Own Tempo’d 120-power Petal Dance is like the Special Version of Outrage… That shit will hurt anything that isn’t Blissey/Chansey w/Eviolite pretty bad.

@Curio Thanks for the input my man!

Thanks for the input. I think I need to catch more pokemone or look through my PC

anyone able to hook me up with 3 drilburs?

Holy shit, I just had the easiest time against Lenora.

:rofl:Bitch didn’t even get to use Retaliate.
