I’ve always thought that Stealth rock should have been Stealth Ice and Poison should be SE on Steel and Rock types.

I’m surprised that there hasn’t been a single dolphin Pokemon after 5 generations. There’s whales, sharks, an orka (Kyogre), but no dolphin?
I wonder if there’s any other obvious or popular animals that haven’t been made into pokemon yet.

Laturn is based off an angerfish, but it also has the makeup of a dolphin.

The lack of a black and white giant panda is a bit surprising as well. I think one would make for an interesting fighting type. Someone posted a panda as the concept for one of smogon’s CAPs, which was Flying/Fighting.
I’ve seen this one debated in a few places. I disagree with Lanturn being called a dolphin because it doesn’t have a horizontal tail fin, a dorsal fin, a bottle nose/beak, or a blow hole. I think a dolphin pokemon would need at least 3 of the 4.

Darmanitan has the long arms and body shape of an orangutan, but it’s found in the desert for some reason in the games.
Now that I think about it, there’s a bunch of overly specific birds and big cats that I can think of.
The only other thing I can think of is a koala, which would probably be pretty lame.
My Faves: Scizor, Kingdra, Quagsire, Metagross, Porygon 2, Shiny Gallade, and Espeon.
This new Pokemon Nobunaga’s Ambition looks really interesting, I like how the Trainers have typing as well. If it does have an intuitive multiplayer I might be interested…

How does this thread get onto the 5th page like this? Something interesting needs to happen. I’m Calling broken move tutors in BW2. Mascot legends will get Dragon Dance. Everything else will get Extremespeed, Quiver Dance, or Shell Smash.
Meh. Several 4th gen move tutors gave Pokemon moves that were very important to the strategy \and generally mixes the “No Moves” problem of several Pokemon.
And you can’t fix Flareon. Both the defences and speed are too slow, but not in a TR support way. Guts DW is also not practical because immunue to Flame Orb. Not everything can to Gliscor/Scizor/SS Sweeper/
I miss Flareon with Shadow ball.

Looks like trainer sprites are animated now, and the game’s gonna have older Pokemon showing up in Unova. There’s also some brand new towns and routes, not to mention the two Kyurem forms.
Fuck the Kyurem forms. I just want Keldeo released already.

Lol. Did that guy have a full team? How was Assist constantly pulling V-Create? Pretty ingenious idea though. I wish I could see the look on the other guy’s face when he was getting peaced by a fucking Spinda.

Looking forward to the ridiculous Move Tutors these new games will bring. Last time we got metagame changers like BP Scizor and Heat Wave Zapdos in Plat and HG/SS making a lot of BL pokes actually interesting. So this gen’s powerhouses will get really stupid and the weak ones will get more stuff to troll with.
I think he only had 4 Pokemon. Ninetales, Infernape, a Victini with only V-create, and Spinda. He let the Ninetales and Infernape die, so the only move left to call with Assist was V-Create. What I find even funnier is that Spinda also learns Baton Pass, so if things got sticky, he could pass those defense and speed boosts his likely banded or scarfed Victini.
Edit: I watched the replay again, and his Infernape only has moves that can’t be called by Assist.
Are pinch berries accessible in Gen V yet? With Eviolite, that Porygon set could be even better this gen. Of course, you’d have to watch out for these new fighting types and Eviolite Chansey.
As for tutors I’m expecting moves that are no longer TMs (like Stealth Rock).
The more I think about it, the more upset I get that Arcanine didn’t get drought instead of Ninetales.
