Anybody getting the new DLC tomorrow?
Just finished my second playthrough; feels good to be lv 50. I got some pretty cool weapons on the 2nd playthrough as well. Now I’m debating on getting the DLC…
Thank goodness for the dlc… its gonna make looking for weapons like playing pokemon… you gotta get em all.
I spend quite a long time sorting out my characters. Ive got:
Orange - Siren, Hunter, Soldier and brick - all orange weapons
Normal - Siren, Hunter, Soldier and brick

Yeah. It has dropped already. I tried to do a run through the first tourney, with my level 50 Roland, and I didn’t make it past the 3rd Round.
The boss, for me, was 9-Toes, Digit, and Pinky. The rule was Critical Hits (Crits do more damage and normal hits do close to none). I died because I couldn’t kill Pinky and Digit (due to not being able to Crit them).

So i bought the new DLC. I like its very challenging. I completed the first area (all 5 rounds) with my lvl 50 Hunter. I found a nice spot and proceeded to pick people off from a distance.
You get a nice variety of rounds and moxxi makes it challenging for you i.e. in certain rounds you dont have shields, you have to use your sniper, eneimes are faster (have health regen etc).
I bought the bank storage (you can buy different levels of storage 1-10 ten being the most expensive) from the clap trap and since it was a playthrough 2 game the storage level 10 cost me 9 mil!!! and put me up to 42 storage space. Dropped a whole load of my guns into the bank so im nice and light. Time to start looting again :woot:
All in all a good survice the horde dlc. On the bad side - where was the 100,000 back pack space that was said to come out? Why cant i pick up guns!!! I killing the shit of of enimies, where are my guns n loot?
I NEVER remember that being announced.
It does sound sucky that you can pick up loot though.

2nd playthrough, lvl 47 Hunter, got some sick tools.
Badguys during the rounds do not drop loot. You can most certainly pick up the loot that is won between rounds (in the middle section of the arena).

Really impressed with the graphics, and I beat the Modern Warfare 2* campaign less than an hour ago :tup:.

Fuck I got owned in the “Gun Wave” in the Gully fuck…
Horde wave can go fuck itself seriously…even with my level 50 Siren it’s still a challenge. Great DLC so far.
Taking a hunter in the arena is the best thing to do. Bloodwing is invaluable…
I really don’t like the Underdome DLC. If you don’t give a fuck about achievements you can tear ass through the 3 arenas in like 2 hours and be done with it.
If you want all the extra achievements, though, you’re in for a really long, boring, monotonous 6+ hours grindfest. Oh and its nearly fucking impossible if the host is level 50 and you don’t have a team of 50s with GODLIKE gear and good coordination. Even then, though the Game Speed Up and Vampire mods randomly thrown at you are a pain in the ass. Not in a good way like a challenge, but just generally frustrating.
Unfortunately I will be getting all the DLC achievements and will hate every minute of it.
I liked what they were trying to do with this DLC, but it should have been $5 at max. Its more of an afterthought/cash-in on Horde/Firefight than it is its own thing.
this isn’t true. i got 2 or 3 purple drops so far from enemies during rounds, now not the boss round mind you but the other waves.
DLC is cool but yeah…should have been $5 really, Dr. Ned was better.
Loot = middle of maps?
Wow I just finished the larger challenge in The Gully coliseum (playthrough 2), with 3 other friends (3 hunters, 1 siren). That shit was tough and long as hell. When things got extra tough/emergency, we resorted to a modded weapon. Even with the modded weapons they were hard to kill. 20 looong ass rounds… to think ive got do it another 2/3 times

I keep getting fucked over on “The Gully” I fucking HATE the Gun Wave. I also like how the AI of the game will spawn Skag and human enemies that will fight one another lol
does the playthrough matter? is it easier on 1st?
i was considering buying the new dlc but i’ve been hearing more and more horror stories of stupid long playtimes and and general cpu asshattery (and the occasional “complete wave but unable to progess” glitch)
