In 20 years people born in 2014 will be comparing Lebron James Jr’s legacy to his dad and if Jr goes like 3-3 in the Finals ESPN’s Brian Windhorst Jr. will just say the son turned out better than the father.
Zaire Wade is 14 now. In just 4-5 years he’ll be making his NBA debut while his dad leaves. Nobody talks about it but I think Wade wants to stay in the league long enough to play against his son. I don’t think that’s ever happened before
Ingram better be fucking good. I’m tired of Draft “experts” telling us every fuckin year that these college kids are good when only like 3 of them are actual factors. And maybe 10 more become decent after a NBA team basically raises them years later.
He said best player, not most consistent. I mean, do you think European or China league is better than NBA? Last I checked, players who can’t cut it in the NBA go there, not the other way around. And how many years has Lebron been regarded as the best in the league?
It is the other way around. Players like Yao Ming and Ricky Rubio grew up in those leagues before they got drafted. Guys like McGrady, Iverson, Artest and Marbury have played in China. Farmar and others have been in Europe before coming back. Its not like international leagues are reserved for scrubs. Not everyone wants to deal with the NBA grind in order to get a fw checks.
Yeah, so players from around the world get better then compete in the NBA when they feel ready. Obviously there are some who stay there for other reasons (money, etc.). For younger players they develop there and then go to the NBA when they feel ready. It’s not like we hear of Player X from Yugoslavia who’s rumored to be than Lebron/Durant/Curry/etc. but stay there because the competition is better in Europe.
