If you watch KD’s old Texas vids, the comparison does seem questionable. KD was a freak of nature in college, while Ingram seems to be just “good enough.” He has nowhere near the explosiveness KD had, but his skill set is still valuable to most NBA teams.
Who would you let go first, Festus or HB? I told my circle butterfingers Festus needs to go. With the new Fox deal, I think it’s possible to keep everyone for another year.
eh, i’m not particularly crazy about either this season, and its hard to say what bob myers does… and whatever he ends up doing is cool with me.
just ruling out the durant possibility, which is a whole bunch of shuffling i’m mentally incapable to processing all the ramifications…
barnes is the easier of the two to replace. batum is on the market, which might be a really cheap swap if batums looking to play on a contender. bazemore might want to come back at a cheaper cost than harrison. marvin williams could slot in well i’d imagine as well. and then there’s always the idea of iggy moving back into the starting lineup and getting a new bench leader.
ezeli is a bit harder, because they will need a center regardless… bogut insurance and future building. if ezeli is that person, he’ll need to get smarter, as i think his biggest failings are his inability to anticipate his openings offensively and make himself useful even when he’s not a threat. On defense he isn’t where i’d thought he’d be either… not a great fit for defense that swaps a lot and needs an organizer in the backline as well as a rim protector… the game is too fast for him on both ends still. but i honestly don’t know what the market is for ezeli, and i can’t imagine its max, considering who else will be on the market.
but i can’t predict what they do, and am happy its not my decision to make. cavs just need to hurry up and lose twice tomorrow so we can hurry up with the post season.
