bench swisher, end up tying on RBIs instead of winning
bench bay, end up losing on SB instead of tying
decide not to bench richard/sanchez even though they wouldn’t of helped me any and lose ERA and might of won WHIP
yea nomar wins 6 in a row yet i make up 10 games on him and will pass him this week !!!
and i’ve had so much adversity it’s insane. furcals dad dying had a huge effect on my team since i picked up stephen drew who went 0 for 15 in that stretch. i would say it had a bigger effect on my fantasy team than affect on furcal
corpas giving up 8 runs in 0 innings
jason bay saga
prince fielder saga
jonathan sanchez being the worst pitcher ever invented, etc etc.
and now this week my opponents francisco cordero blows a save, leads off the next inning with 2 walks before being pulled and gets a win?? in what book is failing and then trying to fail again so you get pulled out of the game worthy of a win? how could the tables be stacked anymore against me
yet somehow i still find myself with the largest division league in the toughest division in ESPN fantasy baseball history (someone at ESPN was so impressed they emailed me to tell me that). i really don’t know how i do it
I don’t mean to bandwagon but I may post in this thread since my team is actually doing good this year.
We have sucked for the most part tho in baseball these past few years. (ATL Braves)
Although, Chipper isn’t doing too good so far. Hope he doesn’t retire man.
Who are the Yankees gonna give up for him? We have some depth in our farm system but I’m not seeing Seattle trading Cliff Lee already, they just got dude. It’s not like the Yankees can just swoop in and smack their GM in the face with a fat sack of money, Lee is under contract.
If y’all want to take Burnett as part of the deal that’s cool though, he’s too much like me when I play fighting games. Something goes wrong, mental explosion and he gets mad and dwells on the shit for like a month.
yankees got like 10 catchers who are all good. they don’t need them all. as long as its not jesus montero they’d prolly do it. or they could trade cervelli and bring up jesus
also mariners need a ss guy and yankees got Eduardo Nunez. doubt the yanks will not resign jeter and bring up nunez even though jeter sucks
oh i’m not a yankees fan, but he’ll end up there eventually whether its through trade this year or free agency next year. though they do need to sign rivera/jeter in the offseason and the only thing coming off the books if vazquez, so maybe the money won’t be there
I think if you ask most teams in the league if they’d take Jeter, they’d say yes. Even with his defensive problems. I’m not gonna argue that he’s the best SS in the league or anything, just hard to say he outright sucks.
And yes they do have a lot of catching prospects right now, lol. I think they’ll probably handle a situation with Posada before making decisions as to which prospects to keep or trade.
