Edwin Jackson with the A.J Burnett no-hitter, i.e., walk everyone.
imo.

well Doc Holliday certainly fucked up his ex team the Jays
even worse is the fucking G20 summit forced the game to be played in Philly rather than Toronto
yes and most teams suck and that is why the only time they make the playoffs is when they luckbox (see: Blue Jays, Orioles, White Sox, Royals, Indians, Texas, Seattle, Florida, Nationals, Reds, Brewers, Cubs, Astros, Pirates, Padres, and Diamondbacks) and that is why they’d want someone like jeter
Also nice 79 strikes 70 balls no hitter. Dude was still throwing 96 in the 9th after all of that. If only he had control he’d still be able to be on my fantasy baseball team but I had to drop him
also sanchez 4 walks in 5 innings 108 pitches. he’s improving!!!
I will take that no hitter he got for me today.
And the 8 walks he racked up in the process, lol.
Do not care, walks don’t even count in the ESPN league.
What?
Walks
Hits
Innings
Pitched
Also if his K/9 improves to early levels then yea I’d keep him. You want to keep people with K/9 near 9 or above
Yeah whack ass Yahoo league counts walks straight up. That’s not the reason it’s whack of course, it just doesn’t work right on my office computer lol.
Suspended Zambrano no longer has rotation spot - MLB - Yahoo! Sports
Damn, Z. You need to learn how to control that temper.
why is vslash so lucky.
wagner injured himself randomly, so i’m out a save there and probably 2K’s. then cordero luckboxes himself into another save and manages to get a K out of it
i can’t beat this guy when the odds are stacked against me like this!!!
and mike stantons horrible defense costs josh johnson more ERs and another W
i feel like adding baker or tommy hunter just to beat you in K’s but I know it will backfire and i’ll end up losing K’s, ERA, and WHIP
White Sox…keep winning.
He practicing his Sent stomp.
Mariners are awesome:
Indians and Mariners complete trade | indians.com: Official Info
Deal makes no sense, maybe they’re throwing him in a package including Cliff Lee?
Branyan/Lee for Ike Davis???
or Branyan/Lee for Smoak?
Lee is definitely a top-5 starter in the league, he will be able to fetch better prospects than just one of those two, especially considering how desperate some teams are for an ace to round out their rotation.
Possible funny trades: Lee back to the Phillies for Dominic Brown. Lee to the Yankees for Jesus Montero and some other prospects.
Mariners will keep Branyan. He is a cheap, reliable, power-hitting first baseman. He won’t get on base on ton but neither can anyone else on the Mariners.
imo.
If they wanted Branyan then why not just resign him in the first place.
Lee/Branyan for 1B prospect who is already in the majors + 1 or 2 minor league players [F Mart, Ruben Tejada maybe]
Look at the history for these rent a players.
Oakland got Brett Wallace and some minor league guys for Matt Holiday
Indians got Matt La Porta and some minor league guys for CC
They usually don’t get a lot out of it, but knowing how horrible the Mariners are they will just hold onto Lee and end up 29 games out of first
So the Red Sox got Mike Cameron, Jacoby Ellsbury and Matsuzaka back…
But we don’t have Clay Buchholz, Dustin Pedroia or Josh Beckett…
That’s rough.
They thought they would be fine on power with Kotchman and Garko. That worked out well.
You are right, though, that they don’t have much leverage considering he can walk after this year, but we’ll see.
imo.
So…
The Sox have played against two of the NL’s most phenomenal pitchers. They got 10 hits and 6 ERs against Ubaldo Jimenez in 5.2 innings. At this time, the Sox have 4 runs through three innings.
NL…they. Ain’t. Got. Shit.
