He probably got tired after consistently having his shit ruined by me…then losing the follow-up name-calling…then being laughed at when he threatens violence.
ckrazy don’t bother to look at it this week either. just put everyone on the bench and let me take this 10-0
beckett was destroying toronto and then got owned
josh johnson would of been nice with that CG shutout but he had to give up a run in the 8th 11k’s though
I’m raging about how last week’s game went with me vs. Jae Hoon. We were fucking neck-and-neck up until about 5 on Saturday and then he pulled 4-10 out of his ass…
Non-Fun League = no one gives a shit.
imo.
should of drafted sanchez instead of halladay
sanchez > halladay guy is sick
all my pitchers strike mad niggas out, low WHIP and ERA but don’t win bc they’re on shitty teams
also got 2 sick closers. one team can’t win a game (braves) and the other can’t win by less than 4 (rays)
Doing math HW for my little sis.
There was a problem on baseball.
Any who there is a 99.32% that a pitcher will not throw a no hitter. (These are old ass stats though. Probably changed a lot since the roid era.)
I’m curious what the % for not throwing a perfect game?
99.99999999%?
It’s easier to win the lotto like 3 times over than to throw a perfect game.
And I agree with Simmons.
No hitters are fucking stupid if you give up like 6 walks.
No hitters are only cool when you give up less than 3 walks. MLB should re-write history and change the tiers to.
Perfect game
No hitters
No hitters but I walked a bazillion dudes.
No hitters, but I walked a bazillion dudes and someone on my team made a bull shit defense play to save my ass.
No hitters, but I still suck.
Just saying…
P.S LOLM’S does it again. < Doesn’t LOLM’S just look wrong to you?
I would like to point out that when Cashman actually had REAL power with the team (which was after the 07 season), shit actually got done. He didn’t overpay for Johan because he knew how good the pitching market was going to be, and he spent the money wisely (largely, but wisely). This is also the guy who gave scraps for Nick Swisher, mind you. Of course the Yanks were mediocre in 08, but that was due to Posada, A-Rod, and Wang missing massive amounts of time (Wang being the most significant in that he was turning it around just around the time he got hurt), as well as Cano’s bad year.
MANY of the retarded big time deals pre-07 offseason were Steinbrenner-controlled. Whether it be the sons or George himself. the sons finally let Cashman actually be a GM, and the Yanks are better for it. Take a look at this past off-season. Rather than go out and overpay for Holliday, he makes a trade for Granderson (who might not end up hitting as well as Holliday by seasons end but he’ll probably be well worth the…what…9 million he’s making?), doesn’t bite on the trade offers for Gardner (who may very well end up saving the Yanks about 16 mil a season that would go to Carl Crawford if he maintains at least a .270 BA with a good OBP, great Defense, and 30+ steals). We’ll see how the Vazquez trade ends up by season’s end.
I’m calling a meeting of the Mariners Suicide Club. This loss to the Royals angers me.
Perfect Games are just as lucky as a No-Hitter instead now you are not only dependent on your team’s fielding ability but also their ability to not make an error.
imo.
Ohhh I forgot about the error thing.
Still I rather pat a guy on the back for getting lucky with his team not fucking up + he throwing no hits and no walks, than to jump for a joy for a dude that got lucky + gave up a bunch of walks.
Can you imagine someone throwing a no-hitter against the Cards, but intentionally walking Albert each time?
I know if I was a pitcher with a no-hitter going into the 5th-6th inning and that mother fucker comes up I am walking his ass.
Doesn’t even have to be a walk. If you walk Albert, whoever hits behind him could hit a ground ball to short, and Albert be forced out at 2nd while the other guy reaches. It’s still not considered a hit because it’s a fielder’s choice.
LOL baseball scoring.
That’s got to be one hell of a slow ground ball then, because Holliday isn’t all that fast. Good baserunner, yes. But he’s not the Flash out there.
I was just using that as an example of how a no-hitter can stay intact. Like when CC was going for that no-no against the Rays, that situation occured.

Hey Mets fans (all one of you). Bobby Bonilla gets paid again next year.
so if im readin that right do they pay him that much for the next 24 years?
or just until the guaranteed money is paid off
8% interest rate
The New York Mets placed Bonilla on unconditional waivers in 2000. He spent the 2000 season playing for the Atlanta Braves. The Mets agreed to pay out the remainder of Bonilla’s contract by deferring the remaining $5.9 million that he was due. Instead of paying him the balance up front, they came to an agreement where the Mets would pay him 25 equal payments of $1,193,248.20 every July 1 from 2011 until 2035. The present value of those payments, assuming an annual interest rate of 8%, is $5.9 million, since 5.9 * 1.0835 * (1.08 ? 1)) / (1.0825 ? 1) = 1.1932482 .
instead of paying him 6 mil in 2000 they thought it would be better to pay him 30 million over 25 years
so they just defered it with a high interest rate
the mets do have a statistician!
rob! go get a job with them!
This is ridiculous. Even the commissioner is trolling me.
P.S I made a thread, on the Fun League forum.
I will be back!
