STFU. Nobody cares what Yankees fans have to say.
Wait, somebody boo’d Jeter? I’ve actually never seen that happen, lol.
I gotta admit I personally boo’d the shit out of A-Rod when I went to see a game in the old stadium couple years back, though.
Jakubauskas is dead i think
kind of sick, guy gets called up from AAA and dies on his 4th batter
oh well i guess berkman at least got a hit and eventually a run off of it
also lol mariners almost forgot
Even with ump assist this team still somehow blows the game in the bottom of the 9th. Jesus fucking christ.
gj stros
I had just gotten home and turned the game on when that happened, my jaw dropped lol
My Sox with another walk off!!!
Astros playing good too.
Life is good.
Can someone remind me why exactly the Yankees signed Vasquez again? Was there seriously NO ONE else they could have gotten? He just lost us the lead again hanging his breaking pitches over the middle of the plate, unreal.
…
also lol mariners
and i need a win from wagner tonight please
Yeah, I know.
i know how it is being a mets fan, i pretty much gave up
other teams just lose but the mariners, indians, royals, mets they just lose in the most random ways possible
at least with the blue jays you knwo their bullpen is going to blow it 72% of the time so it’s not a big surprise
It would appear that Vazquez’s flyball tendencies are back after being gone last year, and in Yankee stadium, that’s not a good thing.
Sabathia being a lefty pitcher with a heavy groundball % seems to be a perfect fit for the stadium, nullifying the short right field porch and lefties.
The LolRaptors have a new challenger.
The LOLMariner’s!
While Gardner would have actually caught that ball and probably kept a run from coming home in that inning, it still doesn’t excuse this.
His fastball velocity is down, his location is poor. I think he’s putting the pressure on himself again. Someone needs to remind him that the Yanks are asking him to be the 4th best starter on the team, unlike 2004, where he was looked upon as the ace.
Plus, to the Torre conversation-I’ve followed the Yanks since 1995, when I was a wee lad of 6, but, I can tell you that, from 04 on (unrelated to the choke), I wasn’t all too sad about the idea of him being gone. I’d grown tired of him absolutely wearing out one bullpen pitcher and killing their career, unless they were built for durability or something. I think just about every reliever that had at least one good year with the Yanks ended up in obscurity/on the D.L, for a bajillion years/somewhere that isn’t pitching following said year.
While Girardi makes some boneheaded bullpen decisions, the only guy he uses a lot is Aceves (though he’s been hurt the past week), but Ace is actually built to take the abuse, being a starter by trade and all.
Does that mean we get our own suicide club?
Yes. You can be the president of it too.
Cliff Lee should be pitching Friday.
I am tempted to go.
I want to be able to be like VS and cheer for the guys on my fantasy player in person!
I lost again. TIEM OT ANPIC!
Stupid basketball playoffs is killing me in baseball. I haven’t made 1 single trade, looked at the FA pool once all year.
Hell I haven’t even log on to the ESPN page via computer. Been setting the lineups through the Blackberry.
Oh well once basketball is over I’m pull a 1996 Seattle Mariner’s and do a miracle run to the playoffs.
Decided that I am going to the M’s game on Friday. Must see Cliff Lee in action!
Yeah we’re lucky to have Ace, he’s still gonna screw up sometimes but he’s got a durable arm. You need a guy like that in your pen.
But Vasquez, he’s just out of his league right now. They took him out of the trash NL East (save the Phillies) and put him one of the strongest AL divisions. And he’s playing against quality teams like the Angels as well. I know we needed another starter for the rotation, since Joba wasn’t doin it. But why get a guy that already didn’t work out here? OF COURSE he’s gonna put up better numbers in the NL, that’s how these things work.
Vazquez has temporarily lost all command (4.85 BB/9 versus 1.18 BB/9 in 2009) and his HR/FB ratio is crazy right now (18.5% versus 10.1% last year) but that is a fluke and will setttle out.
Don’t worry, he will still be good.
But if someone wants to trade me Wainwright or Beckett for him, that’s cool too.
I was insane to say that it “wasn’t too crazy” that he’d be at CC’s level though…it’s not even a strong statement to start, but even that was too much - I am stupid.
