Official 2010 MLB season/fantasy baseball thread

Fantasy Baseball isn’t for everybody. If you’re the type of person who gets real high or real low on wins or losses when playing fantasy football you will burn out so fast. The 162 game schedule will destroy you. You gotta play it cool but not like you’re in a coma. Balance is the key.

Fantasy baseball is a boring ass grind over 162 games…just like real baseball.

I happen to love it. But yes, it’s not for everyone.

Also, you have to keep track of a ridiculously larger pool of players than any other fantasy sport and be able to assess long term and short term value well. Out of all the fantasy sports, there is the least amount of random luck that factors into winning a league given the length of a season and the size of your roster.

So I guess it’s a no go for me then.

I just wanted an all Asian team! This is the only sport that you can come close to that.

Don’t worry buddy…I will live that dream for you.

C - Kurt Suzuki
1B - …
2B - Akinori Iwamura
3B - …
SS - …
OF - Ichiro
OF - Shin-Soo Choo
OF - Fukudome
DH - Matsui

SP - Dice-K
SP - Wang
SP - Hiroki Kuroda
CP - Saito…?

…nevermind, the dream is dead.

There is a Pacific Islander guy that plays for the Royals. Kila Kileuheoue or something, that totally counts as Asian and he is a 1B/DH. Also you are forgetting Kazuo Matsui who is a shortstop and finally you can add Heesop Choi who played 3B somewhere.

Way to fail at being Asian.

imo.

You can slide Iwamura over to 3rd base and put Kaz Matsui at 2nd base. Travis Ishikawa can play 1st base. Now you only need a shortstop.

Chin-Lung Hu

A nobody for your SS

Kaz Matsui when he was on the Mets and before he had anal fissures. You should know this Akuma.

imo.

Mets signed Igarashi

Tadahito Iguchi
So Taguchi
byung hung kim
tomo ohka
hideki okajima
akinori otsuka
chan ho park
hong chi-kuo
masa kobayashi
baek
fukumori
kei igawa - AAA ball
johjima went back to japan

Yeah, so no true MLB SS, though Iguchi can play the position technically speaking if you count Japan time.

You’re forgetting a few guys, including Koji Uehara, Byung Hyun-Kim, Kenshin Kawakami and So Taguchi.

because most of the people playing in it won’t be playing in the world series

why should they influence it? the team with the best record should get HFA in the world series

and i’ll join the baseball league

Some of the people will be, though, and the teams that are going to have the biggest showing in the All-Star game are likely to be in the playoff run, save a few outliers like Zack Greinke and Ryan Braun.

swaggalicious with a bag of bitches.

hey this is techrock, i was in the other srk baseball leagues
got a new email : discokim@rogers.com so sent me an invite plz morph i need to win in baseball to make up for this shitty basketball fantasy season

I don’t know what the hell is up with the Mets, but it seems like Minaya is trying to avoid the September collapse this year with his signings.
sarcasm

well hell last year they had like a june collapse so gettin back to september would be quite a step up

I was thinking of naming a preseason collapse after Minaya, but the Royals seem to always have that in the bag long before any given season.

philliesnation.com sponsors this page lol

i’ll send out invites eventually. good to hear the giants paid to keep timmy for 2 more years. i have a feeling he’s gone once his contract is up though.

Send me one, Morph - I’ll PM you my email.

But make sure only cool owners get in! You know just as well as me how lame half-assed SRK fantasy managers can be.
