lets go OAKLAND

Fixed.

You don’t have Cliff Lee no more. We do. M’s!

But we have Halladay! P’s!

alexv1230@yahoo.com

imo.

I’d be up for a roto league, but not h2h. I think I’m limiting myself to 3 baseball leagues max.

We don’t have to deal with Halladay anymore!

SOX!

No, but really, I’m VERY happy that the Jays rid the Sox of ever playing Roy Halladay again (figuratively, we still might have to get him in inter-conference play…but that’s unlikely).

Far cry but, lets :crybaby::crybaby::crybaby::crybaby::crybaby: LETS GO ASTROS :crybaby::crybaby::crybaby::crybaby:

The offense looks good on paper but the pitchers need to step it up a bit. AND CAN WE HAVE A SEASON WHERE NONE OF THE ALL STARS ARE INJURED!!!

At least you’re making the effort. But ahh…you’re gonna die, son.

I really wish the Giants would get another bat besides Sandoval. Oh well here is to hopping Lincecum doesn’t go anywhere over the next few years.

I have never done a serious baseball fantasy league not sure I could keep up enough to care either so I’ll pass on it.

You have to remember that playing in the NL West is playing in a dead zone for offense in terms of parks.

Giants made a few offensive upgrades this offseason that went under the radar and should be much better offensively than last year (not hard to be better than last year). Relief pitching is still worrisome for them, and we’ll see how Bumgarner does in his first full season. I still think Matt Cain was pitching over his head last year, but the bottom never fell out, so whatever.

Anyway, Giants upgrades: Aubrey Huff, Freddy Sanchez, Mark DeRosa

Combine with Lewis, Sandoval, Molina and Rowand, there’s a little more pop on this offense, and more ability to get on base and produce a few more runs. There is definitely much more depth on offense for pinch hitting and days off as well. This is still a very bad offense though, but it is not hard to improve on last year.

Defensively however, this is not a great infield, and they’re lucky Cain and Lincecum strike out so many batters. Still, they weren’t too far from the playoffs last year, and even modest improvements could get them a wildcard shot.

UZR appears to be the latest fad in the league this year, and all you have to do is look at the teams that upgraded significantly on defense this offseason like the Red Sox. Signing Beltre, Cameron and moving Ellsbury to left (not a great CF defender despite his speed). Sox chose to upgrade on defense and SP, but offense is still a concern without Manny and with Ortiz teetering on the edge of usefulness.

I won the championship in Eppie’s league, so I think it was totally legit.

I choked in the finals of Eppie’s keeper league as well.

I wonder if we will ever play either of those leagues again?

We’re getting there!

Hurray, rebuilding year! In a way it’s refreshing to finally know that we have absolutely no chance of competing this year and it’s all about giving the kids playing time.

Oh wait, Cito Gaston is still our coach.

FUCK THIS TEAM

How the heck does fantasy baseball work anyways?

What are the categories? Is it similar to basketball?

since the closest team to me is the Pirates I am currently not ready for basesball

oh yeah we also have a pirates single a team right in town, best games ever

Batting average, home runs, RBIs, runs, stolen bases for hitters.

ERA, Wins, Strikeouts, WHIP, Saves for pitchers.

So that 10 cats? hmmm and how many batters do we get? 9? pitchers 5? more info plz. what if we have two pitcher same day can we start both?

Don’t feel down. You should get to see a few good players before the Pirates trade them all in July.

Generally you start a 1B, 2B, SS, 3B, C, 3 Outfielders and then 2 Utility spots for whomever to fill up. There are generally 5-7 pitcher spots that you can fill up with whomever, starting pitchers, closers, relief pitchers and can start any combination of them whenever.

imo.

I think the pirates already traded away all their old players last year. It is going to be a year of futility with no trades instead.
