Just found out the M’s also resigned Bedard for peanuts. Hopefully he can start repaying us for the last 2 seasons. If he can get back to the form he was with Baltimore, then the M’s will have a unbelievable top 3 rotation.
The all star game is an exhibition. It should not have any influence on the post season, whatsoever. It would be no different than having the league that wins the HR contest get HFA. And it’s not like it makes them anymore enjoyable then they already were.
The ONLY reason the all star game determines HFA in the World Series is because of the 2002 all star game. No other reason.

ESPN is pretty shitty for fantasy baseball largely because of how annoying it is to navigate the player pool and player stats. Yahoo does it much much better.
ESPN’s okay for every other sport though.

I’m thinking we need to introduce a rule to these fantasy leagues.
Everyone should be required to come up with a witty, suggestive team name.
As the coach of the Raging Papelboners, I think people should be pushed into coming up with hilarious names for their teams, whether it’s the Papelboners, the Mourneau After Pills* or the Weaver Beavers. That’s one of those small things that takes a good league and makes it into a great league.
*- Not mine, saw it in a public league a couple years back.
I used Morneau After Pill last year and I call dibs on Joe Mauer Power Hour for this year.
