lol, apparantly right after that, LA season ticket holders started cancelling in droves today, according to several of the articles I am reading.
I’m still hoping for something along the lines of Kaberle, Grabo, and Kulemin, to LA for Dustin Brown and a draft pick or a prospect

LA looks stupid (yet again), and need to do SOMETHING to quell the masses. Also, SJ is apparantly really interested in Kaberle (as well as Elias is in NJ begging them to trade for Kaberle), so LA may need to snag him to keep him off other teams lineups.
You have to realize that Kaberle is the best available defencemen (and perhaps the best puck moving defencemen and most accurate one in the league) out there right now, with just 1 year to worry about him on the books, and a low contract (with the obvious option to be able to sign him and keep him in ur city). That’s money in the bank

I kind of expect Bieksa to get traded still. I heard a ecklund rumor that Montreal is kind of interested in him and is willing to give up top prospects. Grain of salt ect.
Kovy wants a fat pension from the sounds of it. A little extra cash once he’s over the hill.
Realistically if he wanted deals like that he should do advertising campaigns and sponsership crap. Release Kovalchuks 3D hockey for christs sake that’s how gretzky stayed rich, with merchandise. And the NHL has no control.

So the NHLPA is backing Kovy and the Devils and the league will have to present it’s case with an Arbiter.
Also, Canucks signed Raymond to a decent 2.5ish deal for 2 years. Gillis is a god tier GM at this point, but we have to figure out what to do with Bieksa, I like him but his cap hit his too high, and fucking Sami Salo got hurt playing floor hockey so the nucks are short on D.
