I hold up up+back while calling CapCom and still lose to Storm, Sent, Cable, Mag, Tron, Strider, Spiral, Juggs, Psy, Cyke, IM, Doom, Blackheart, everyone else on the right side of the character select screen. . . .
Can I show up and (most likely) go 2 and out in ST?
And possibly play some poker?

I’ve gotta ask this of the 3s players out there. Who’s definitely showing up for the tournament this Friday at 9PM? I just want to get an idea of how long this will take. Since I have to lead into the Marvel event at 10PM, I was hoping that we could at least be in the losers bracket by then (so we can devote one TV to 3s and another to Marvel).

Actually Chris, I would play A3, KOF (depending on which one), 3S, and ST. I would play CvS2 until I lose in a really ugly fashion, which is guaranteed to happen because it’s CvS2. Only problem is, a lot of those other tourneys (assuming people are even gonna show up for them) start pretty early and I get off work at 8:30 so there’s no way I’ll be able to make it on time to enter.
But I wouldn’t be playing MB or GG though.

To Mandel: Your right, half the reason why i hate playing that game is when i lose in a REALLy ugly way, such as roll super/activate, wake up super/activate…that shit just drives me insane. I’ll be straight with you, I vowed to NEVER do that shit, unless I’m playing around…Parrying on wakeup I do however.
If all goes well, 3 or 4 players from PDX will be showing up for 3s, 2 or 3 will play mvc2

3S and ST start at 9 correct?? I’d be interested in entering those AND CvS2 should they go down. I will be haulin ass in an attempt to get there to play early to use 3S/ST/CvS2 to warm my hands up for Marvel/The main event.

Yes, 3s and ST are slated to begin at 9PM this Friday. Please try to be on time. If you’re a little late and someone else had a bye in the first round (and provided that we haven’t moved onto the second round), I can put you in the bracket as just another player… Otherwise, late entrants would have to start in the loser’s bracket.
I have to stress again to anyone casually browsing and potentially attending the tournaments on poker night, someone please be sure to bring a PS2 with CCC2 and/or anniversary edition. The ST tournament can’t go down unless someone brings a copy of CCC2 (and no one has said that they’d show up and bring it for sure yet). And for the love of god, bring sticks! I will assign people where to play–and which machine to wait for their turn. So if you don’t like the sticks on the machine where you’re assigned, you’re responsible for bringing your own.
