Dog is a character I’d been meaning to pick up for a while for the longest time for similar reasons. Great character, really, it’s just very intimidating to learn.

Good discussion going here, yeah im having an interesting time trying to learn mayziodynes team. I do enjoy it though, its really fun and they give each other good tools.
Jill’s raven spike into Stranges 7 rings for the FOF loops is great, i just need to get a little more consistent and im in there. Its a very technical team. Like Paulow said about Dante’s
jam session, i think its great for jill too. Yeah she can convert off of it like Paulow said although converting off of it isnt always practical if they get hit by it at there highest jump peak.
Then its better to do SJ.H-S-DND because SJ.M makes them go higher and the combo will whiff.

I understand about the whole rest your fingers thing too lol, this team is high execution for sure but so much fun and so many options especially between Dante and Strange.
I wish Maziodyne was still around :frowning: , with enough execution down i think this team could be beast. I also considered Jill/Strange/Ammy but i dont know.

Im, running Jill / Strange / Ammy. That team is straight RIDICULOUS. Jill has basically everything she could ever want with those two characters. Ive been labbing the team really hard recently. Im using Bolts to get in / counter call / for resets, and im using cold star basically for solely blockstrings / mixups. I feel like Bolts is a better reset tool, with the resets im using at least. Strange / Ammy is pretty retarded in itself as well. So many mixup options, so much dumb crap I can do with THC. ugh. Its so dirty.

Can you post some resets with jill strange?

I did in the video thread. Ive got another 3 or so that I didnt post that I use as well.

I adjusted the ones in the videos too for greater damage output pre reset as well. You can basically do any combo > cr.H

Just wondering, what you do when it comes to opponents being in the air a lot with that team? (more so with jill on point)

what characters in particular, and what height are we talking? regular jump height or SJ height?

There isn’t much Jill can do honestly, but I can tell you one thing NOT to do is follow them. Do not try to match characters like Magneto and Zero in the air. Just stay you ground but don’t stay in one place. OR you can do what paulow has been suggesting and just switch characters. Both Ammy and strange fair better against air-born opponents.

by the way guys and gals i do stream mahvel from time to time on my channel, im really trying to make jill strange work, and i know it will take work but dante seems to be great for that team as well. Maybe you guys can help me improve as well, thx guys.

If doom / mags / Trish / whoever try to lame my Jill out at sj height I either dhc or hard tag to strange. None of those characters can lame him out. If you don’t want to do that, they do have to come down sometime. Just hit bolts as they’re coming doing so they fall into it, then mix them up.

So let me ask you guys this, what character you think would really work well with my team? I’m just at my limit honestly. I really want a decent team but I do not want to have to do something I am against again, like dropping a character or using DOOM again… I’m sure Jill/Wesker can work but I am having a hard time “clicking” with this last character. Any suggestions would be welcomed and just throwing this out there but I am NOT using Doom/Vergil for this team.

the problem with Jill / Wesker is that you are always going to be missing a vital assist to Jills gameplay. Jill needs (in order, imo) an assist to help get in, an assist to lock down, or a vertical control assist. With Jill / Wesker you only get ONE of those.

Edit: I personally think Jill / Doom is ass. Plasma beam and Rocks both lift the opponent off their feet which kinda screws up Jills combos, and Jill cant protect missiles, so there goes that.

Not trying to be mean or anything, but you and a few other Jill users might need the help of a horizontal assist to get in, but I feel that my Jill is at the point where I don’t need that much help to get in, UNLESS i’m fighting Hulk/Sent, that shit is fucking annoying… But yeah, I don’t really need a assist to help me get in. But I am having a hard time dealing with Airborne characters and that is mainly it.

lol okay man whatever you say. You asked and I gave my opinion. I dont mean to be mean, but it doesnt sound like youre playing very good players. I would love to see you get in without an assist against deadpool, morrigan, magneto, zero, doom…the list goes on and on…but you seem to know better I guess.

Jill / Wesker / Strider. Arguably one of Jills best assists, and arguably Weskers best assist. Enjoy.

No need to get so defensive dude, all I stated was that I’m not in dire need of a horizontal assist. I’m glad that you gave me your opinion, all I was doing was responding to said opinion… And besides deadpool, the characters you listed are AIR BORNE characters like I stated earlier. So a horizontal assist wouldn’t even help that much since they can just fly and dash around in the air. I have absolutely NO issue getting in on Deadpool, Hawkeye, Dorm Etc… Basically the only characters causing me issues at the moment are the characters that can either fly/dash around in the air and Shoot projectiles from the sky. Also, If you want to play so you can critique my Jill, then by all means, send me a invite.

I dont mean to be defensive or rash, its just that it seems like you are trying to say that you can somehow overcome one of Jills most glaring weaknesses completely free without any assist…against some of her worst matchups in the game. im just curious what you know that no one else has figured out. Morrigan, Zero and Mags don’t need to be at SJ height to zone…they all can zone really well from ground / regular jump height. Idk how you’re getting in so free on any of the characters you mentioned unless you’re talking about just throwing out MGS then hoping to force some pressure. Hell, dorm can back himself to a corner, lay a flame carpet and just throw pillars all day.

First of all, I didn’t say getting in on anybody is free. I work for all and any chances I get with Jill, with or without a assit. Second, I do know that Jill has some very bad match ups, but my experience even when I did run a beam, is that SMART players that use Magneto, Zero, Morrigan etc will try to keep away Jill regardless on whether or not she has a horizontal assist. Yeah having a horizontal assist will make the keep away much less painful if they stick on the ground, but all that does is forces smart players and those same troublesome characters that can stay in the air to do just that, STAY in the air, something that Jill has no answers for… I currently play only on PSN at the moment, but playing a morrigan team won’t really prove anything but the issues that I stated multiple times already.

One thing I just realized having this conversation is that I kinda asked the wrong question. My question should of been what character works well against those type of characters while still being able to contribute some Synergy to Jill/Wesker. I’m probably never going to have the full coverage you guys might have against said characters, so my best bet at the moment is to probably find a character that can deal well against those characters while providing some sort of synergy to the team,

I am trying to build a new jill team using iron man second but I can’t decide on the last character. I see stars uses dante jam session last but are there any other good options for anchor? I considered ammy but I hate running jill without an anti air assist and I can’t see vajra being that useful to Ironman. Any insight here?
