The only way to get in for Jill is MGS > xfactor. It’s kind of a risk, but that’s pretty much all we have. I wish I can watch Twitch at work. I’ll watch later when I get home, but from what Gangie says it sounds amazing
Ive been playing Jill/Strange/Dante, i love the synergy of this team and bolts for Jill is so godlike, then jam session for Jill and Strange is so good because of his teleport mobility. Im still in training with this team but once i learn impact palm loops it will be godlike to DHC into strange for the kill. When magneto gets disrupter happy i just c.M+Strange Bolts Assist the same can be done with c.M+ironman assist. Then you kill mags once it hits. So yeah, this is gonna be my new team, mayziodyne really did a great job of exploring this team.
I still dont understand how you set up a raw tag into strange with jill for impact loops, i have seen mayziodyne do after a DHC with jill but thats not a raw tag. I’ve seen him do it with dante into strange. Excuse my ignorance if i havent seen how this is performed but i heard NSR say this so i was just wondring how this is performed. Ive tried to do it after arrow kick knee drop, but unless the graces are already there in the corner before you do it with jill i dont see how they could do this at the whim.
Any help would be appreciated.
There’s a lot of stuff I wish NSR were here to explain, but sadly I think a lot of people have just stopped coming to the forums, or maybe stopped playing in general. Amongst the characters I’m interested in this forums, there hasn’t been a new post for a couple weeks now, with the exception of these forums.
I wish I was able to record my matches and show you what I’ve been working on. However the sad part is, at the end of the day when I lose 1 - 2 games, I have to switch back to my Kusoru team just because this team is just too honest. And the better assists for her, I don’t know how to use those characters / they don’t interest me.
I’m still waiting on more Mad Beast tech that NSR promised us with :\

Bolts imo is better for Jill than unibeam because of scaling and over all versatility. Not only that, but Jill/Strange will kill everytime with just one combo and leave you positive on meter, where as Jill/IM will not without a reset most of the time. Bolts being full screen and dante for AA is great imo. Yeah i heard NSR quit and so has my friend Ika, mayziodyne has also quit lol. Either way im gonna still rock the jill and make her as broken as possible. Dante and Strider are her best AA options for sure though, i like unibeam but strange is the better all around character.
I really want to use Strange on my team, but I really just do not think he is the least bit fun.
I’ve been thinking about Jill/Iron Man after reading the forums. I think both characters seem to work well together and are fun to play. Uni beam assist, very damaging DHC, great THC for lockdown/high low mixup, fullscreen confirm with MGS into Proton Cannon, etc. I really like what IM offers. Though lately I’ve been wanting to use Thor and wondering if he could work second with his mighty spark assist as my projectile. Even if that assist does work well, does Thor have anything to offer Jill besides that or vice-versa?

Mighty Spark is extremely slow and wimpy. I don’t know much about Thor, but the best Jill could offer him is Arrow Kick, which is still kind of lacking since he has no teleports or anything to make it tough to block. You could probably DHC from Mighty Tornado to Raven Spike in some cases, but Thor’s better combos end with Mighty Tornado really high in the air, and the hitstun has decayed so badly by then that even if you managed to whiff Raven Spike to try for an extension, the best you could probably do would be an Arrow Kick in the corner, and I’m pretty sure Thor uses ground bounces in his combos that would prevent DKD from working afterwards.
I believe Thor is a point character like Jill, and to put them together doesn’t seem to accomplish much. Even his THC is abysmal. If only Mighty Thunder wasn’t complete garbage.

Thor is pretty terrible for Jill. He’s not exactly a point character, as I think he can be run first or second, but he doesn’t offer much except for another crossover counter. Mighty Spark sucks, you’d might as well play bolts since you can crouch under both assists. The THC is terrible, as well as the DHC. But I’m always one to advocate running whatever you please, because that’s how new tech is found.
Who can I use as a reliable female OTG assist for fullscreen combos? I want to use Jill and Storm but I can’t figure out another female, could someone suggest what team order and assists also? Thanks (:
Ive really been enjoying learning Jill/Strange/Strider they have a lot of synergy together and it gives Jill 2 assists that cover the ground and the air. One touch with Jill into FOF palm loops is too good cause you end up killing them and end up meter positive, sometimes more than 2 lol.
Striders Vajra for Jill is too perfect for both Jill and Strange and double spell of dechant is stupid lol.
With Strider on point and Strange backing him (if i have too), you can instant kill them if they do anything stupid anywhere on screen with 2 meters that is. Team super into X-Factor, Vajra, then SJ into a combo which is very similar to what you can do with strange/dante.
Anyway back to lab with me i need to get this team down.

I used Jill / Dante / Strider with all gamma assists. Vajra gives Jill fantastic forced defenses to force her way in, and covers the air where she can’t reach. It also gives Dante even more mean resets and easy combo opportunities.
Weasel Shot is pretty nice for Jill, by the way.

Strange is too weird for me although I am pretty close with Mazio. He actually asked me awhile back to invent some Dante + Bolts extensions since Dante is my fav practice character.
Question though, if Vajra hits while airborne, what does Jill do? Wait then mixup or what?
That’s pretty much all you can do. Just mix them up on the way up. Just remember they can call assist while rolling and don’t get blown up. You can’t call your other assist to cover you during this time so your teleport mixup has to be pretty solid.

I don’t think log trap is ever supposed to be used as an AA. It doesn’t hit high enough, plus it’s only on the start and end where it hits high. It’s good for Joe or Chun because they can hide the fact that he’s coming out by triple jumping since he’s so small. For Jill, you’re better off using it with teleports and catching people pressing buttons.
I think Jam Session is good for Frank. Frank / Dante I feel is pretty strong, but if you need horizontal I don’t see why you can’t go w/ Plasma Beam. The only problem I can see is that you hit Jam Session with Jill on point, you’re going to have to find ways to convert off of that.
