okay, well weasel shot works for me anyway, it still allows me to setup a hard tag into doom to bring them to the corner and get the kill combo, sucks that the move is so limited to only certain assists.
I have a question about a technique that I see a lot of Nova players use (i.e. Combo,Infrit, Moons). It might have been mentioned earlier. It’s about jumping, dashing down, and throwing Ls in to get a instant overhead.<div><br></div><div>Are there any tips on this and how can I get better at it?</div>

It’s generally practice<div>For pad players</div><div>You can utilise the dpad and analog stick to get a very fast iOH</div><div>Hold the dpad down, then push the analog stick up, immediately press the down on the dpad. That nets you a fast downward air dash</div><div>On stick, you can plink it. MH -> L</div>

Thanks man, I’m on stick so I guess I better start practice plinking.<div><br></div><div>Its crazy how effortlessly Infrit and others do it.</div>

Like you said before, it’s just practice. I drilled doing it as many times in a row as possible, now it’s part of my regimen to do like 20 in a row.<div>Now doing it twice on pad, that mystifies me.</div>
how do you guys tridash light for a crossup ? idk but for some reason when I do it nova keeps on gliding away from the target.

Don’t. Nova’s tri-dash is not meant for crossups like Magneto’s or Doom’s because of its arc. If you want to do a crossup IO light you have to dash and jump forward, then do ADD+L. If it helps I can shoot a video.

Thanks for the video, that should be very helpful going forward.<div><br></div><div>I was wondering though, how are nova’s match-ups? Does he have any standout good/bad match-ups? And how does he match-up against morrigan, zero, magneto and wolverine? He seems like he has the tools to hold his own against morrigan and zero, and magneto seems like it would be an even match-up. Wolverine on the other hand, I just don’t know, Im yet to test out my nova against a wolverine and even if I did it wouldn’t be a good test since my nova’s pretty bad at the moment. With that said, he does have the tools to cover a lot of the angles wolverine attacks through, plus a really good AA jab(which is always a plus against those dive kicks), but logan just seems to give every tri-dash character issues so I figured id ask the experts.</div><div><br></div><div>And if you could give your two cents on any of the other match-ups I listed it’ll be welcome.</div>
<p>Question room, how do you cancel out of nova’s centurion rush (H)? Ive seen Infrit do this on many occasion?</p>
No prob!<br>There is a <a href="Nova’s Matchups thread</a> already that may address some of your questions (and should get a sticky once we fill out a chart or something).<div>In general: Morrigan is even but can sway in either character’s favor depending on assists and spacing. Zero is 5-5, but again certain assists can change the balance heavily (Vajra on either side makes it harder for the other). Magneto is 5-5. Wolverine is stupid and annoying and there’s a lot of matchup info against him in that thread.</div>
lol thanks, didn’t check since it wasn’t stickied but ill move my discussion over there. I was hoping this would be the character to give logan issues(or at least make the match-up even) but it seems if your not playing zero or big body logan’s always going to be a problem lol.

(L/M button strength is the same, only difference is in levels)<div>0% red life: 5 low durability points</div><div>Less than 200k red life: beam durability, 3 frames x 5 low priority durability points</div><div>More than 200k red life: beam durability, 5 frames x 5 low priority durability points</div><div><br></div><div>And just in case you were curious, H pulse (shield)</div><div>0% red life: beam durability, 3 frames x 3 low priority durability points</div><div>Less than 200k red life: beam durability, 4 frames x 3 low priority durability points</div><div>More than 200k red life: beam durability, 5 frames x 3 low priority durability points</div><div><br></div><div>I’m curious to actually see what it beats out, since I don’t really understand durability points. I’m guessing it loses to stuff like Lvl 3 Buster and Mystic Sword M/H, but I know it beats out beams like Disruptor and Plasma Beam.</div>
It’d take way too long to fully explain how projectile durability more or less works (and I’ve had to do it more than once) since the rules are pretty stupid. I think I actually did it somewhere in nova forums too. Either way, the short answer is red health L/M pulses’ll beat just about any other low durability projectile.<br>
I usually leave st. H out of a cr.M hit confirm to launcher. Is this a bad habit? And I can do the H only combo in the corner, but midscreen, I do MMH fly LMHS then use his ground bounce in Nova Slam for another rep of the easy fly combo into POTNF. Should I be upgrading this combo to something more damaging, and if so, what? Also, Vergil and Strange are normally my partner, but I pair him with Sent/Dorm. What kind of incoming mix ups can I pull with Vergil/Strange?

Shouldn’t affect your combo that much. I think you can pull off the H unfly loops midscreen if you start a combo with c.M S, but it’s generally easier to confirm from s.MH after an instant overhead. MMH fly MMH or LMH is fine off of most confirms. I personally rely on assists a lot to get maximum damage, and you can get an easy extension off of Rapid Slash with:<div><br></div><div>Nova Slam OTG, call Vergil/s.H xx Centurion Rush M, Centurion Rush H, Super Nova. I think there’s an extension with Bolts too but you’re probably going to be starting your combos with those more often than not.</div><div><br></div><div>Bolts kinda blows for incoming mixups. Rapid Slash is fast and horizontal, so you can do something like call Vergil, super jump, wait (or don’t), ADDF. It might cross them up, it might not. Mix it up with a forward air-dash, which crosses up more often.</div>
