Out of curiosity, what habits should I change that are easily exploited. I’m oblivious to these things since I don’t play me.

My comfort level should be no concern of yours: I’m willing to put myself through discomfort in order to play someone in person. If I prefered playing online and never seeing another human face, I wouldn’t have ever started talking here.

Yes, Slayton and thearmo5 are good at the game. As good as anyone can be at it right now, I guess. They both also show to things a lot.
That’s the thing. Since I’m uncomfortable talking to people, and I’ll always be uncomfortable talking to people, waiting untill I feel like it will mean that I never open my mouth. I’m trying to be… progressive.
What do you mean arrogant? I asked because no one was talking about it here. How was I to know that anyone was even playing the game? Yeah, there was a tournament, but that doesn’t mean that there were serious entrants (and by serious entrants, I simply mean people who have been playing the game and not just got drunk and picked the wrong tournament or something).
Yes, that’s exactly what that means. People are paying money to play in this tournament; the people you mentioned don’t do that sort of thing.
I’d suggest getting over your issues with talking to people if you want to be a part of the fighting game community…or anything else in life, for that matter. It isn’t that difficult, and most of us aren’t dicks. Show up , play, and have a good time. Pretty simple.

If you want to play Skullgirls come to the Wednesday Night Brawl tournament this week. There are only a couple of us who are good at SG but WNB is one of the few places where you will actually find people to play Skullgirls in person and find any decent competition so if you can make it out I would recommend it.
You’re just really repetitive in general and it takes a lot to break you out of your habits. I feel like someone has to really beat a counter into your skull before you’ll even acknowledge it, which is one of the reasons I tell you about stuff like that a lot. If you play and exploit something repeatedly just because people aren’t countering it reliably enough for you, it’ll develop into a habit and eventually come back to bite you in the ass. I’m not saying to stop doing something completely just because there’s a counter present, but even once you know about a counter, you still take a few too many risks with those kinds of tactics.
You’re doing a good job of talking now. It’s one of the best ways we communicate. Just keep asking questions and do your research, Keep up the good work.
Any specifics? Only thing I can think of is sweep fireball with Kensou being superable and me doing it anyway… even though I do stop doing it when people have 2 meters now. Most fireball characters have that problem.
Well, your personal issues are none of our concern. I’m not sure what coming in here and berating yourself to all of us is really going to achieve. Come play some games, or don’t. We’re not going to judge you.
That’s a good example, mostly because of how overtly reliant you are on it as a pressure staple for Kensou. With other fireball characters I don’t see it being as big of a deal, but when almost 90% of your offense is run up into sweep fireball, it’s problematic. Moreso versus characters who don’t necessarily need an ex super to punish it. Other than that, it’s just general patterns you run, it seems like you don’t have a lot of variety in your game so if one tool gets taken away, you get kinda stuck and start doing the same thing over and over. Might be the limitations of your characters.
So you’re the type of person who sits there and watches two people play and never ask to get in next?

WNB is like hitting the heavy bag for me. I am not stressed out by anybody that I have played. Most of the time it is like I am spectator when I am playing because I am try out things that I worked on in practice mode watching the match as i play. Somethings are match up related and somethings are character specific which I may have looked at or not had a chance to look at, but eventually it will get looked at. Out of the players in NC I will end up being the strongest because my fundamentals dominate and are more superior than everybody that is playing right now. Once I increase my damage output there will be no hope of victory and there will be no escape.

Zidiane: yeah there are people playing Skullgirls right now. with it being so new, alot of people (myself included) are still in that feeling out process to decide if its something we want to play on a more competitive level. KoF is a game that we are taking very serious, which is why there is so much discussion going on about it. i dont think any apologies are in order for there not being more SG talk, but if you want SG discussion, please feel free to open the lines of conversation. those who play it will definitely discuss it with you. also, like Armando said, come out to WNB tomorrow and you will find quite a few players who play it.

The only thing I could talk about is SG, and I just wanted to know how people in my immidate area felt they were at the game at this time.
