Jon, Demo, Dale, etc: Good to hear from you guys again. Haven’t been doing too much fighting game stuff in a while, except some SC5, and TTT2 once that’s out. Wanting to learn some KOF so next time I’m free on Wednesday I might head out to the next WNB if there’s KOF, as I am not terribly great at Capcom games. I’ll probably still join just for the hell of it.
Where do you guys usually group up to play nowadays?
Tactiks: I am pretty much 5 minutes away from the Champs by Triangle. North on 401 but not at Rolesville. Still considered Raleigh.
We usually play at my place on thursdays or fridays. If you live… somewhat near rolesville, I know the tierless heroes guys play up near there too on saturdays. They’re mostly capcom though.
But yeah, good to see you alive and kicking. We should guage the RDU interest in SCV so we can get it up at champps. I don’t know how much support it actually has to be honest.
Nice. Well the ReSe RanBats are starting up in Greensboro next Thursday and will be a weekly thing. KOF, SCV, Marvel, SFxT, AE are on the menu to get points in so come out and get them KOF points. Competition should be stiff cause there is a lot on the line.

The RanBats are taking place in 3 cities. Season 2 starts next week, April 4th, 5th, and 6th, Charlotte (Wed), Greensboro (Thur), Fayetteville (Fri). These are weekly events and once a month we will all meet up to fight for the lead in the points. All the details are in the links.

KOF will have a strong following cause it will be played state wide by a lot of people and the format I am using for the RanBats is that everyone pays once and plays in everything if they want so the brackets are larger than normal. Mainly that move was to get people to play other games that they normally wouldn’t. It’s working well so far
last night was too good. i lost to Ed and then to Javier, so i dont feel too bad. it seems like everyone is restructuring their team now that we are peeling away the layers of bullshit in each others game and actually LEARNING KoF. I LOVE IT!!!
im officially dropping all other games just to focus on KoF. in fact since GameStop is having bonus 50% on all trades this week i think its time BB, SFxTK, and some of the ferrible 1P games i bought get traded in.
also a BIG shout to the TH crew. they stepped up thwir event in a huge way. good isage of space and great game choice lol
Had fun last night, it was a much better experience than the last time from an outsiders view with some casual stations open and so forth. Felt like I could have done a little bit better, but then again so did everyone but Jon lol. Mad props to the crew there for running a good tournament and I hope to make it out there some more as long as my schedule allows it.
Also, looking foward to Sunday and an epic leveling up session with the added bonus of watching Fruity Pebbles get beat up and down Miami as well.
New team (Hulk/Wesker/Strange aka “Gamma Phantom Supreme”) debuted. I am very happy with my performance. 5th? YO! That’s very cool!

There will be SCV at EZ this weekend. If you could help out and bring a system that would be great. Also it’s up to the players to fill the brackets
I am trying to see if someone from Charlotte will be going to the tourney. If they are and they are going to stay then I will bring 6 of my monitors with me so we can have more setups. I will know more tonight.
Lu, I think Jon’s right, you mostly just want to maximize damage. Doing the best with what you’ve got is probably pretty important with the relatively low damage team you have. I’m sure that with more time with the game you’ll come up with some powerful stuff. NGBC. I can post some Mai or Yuri combos if you want.

Yeah, good matches. Would like to play you some more next time if you make it out, they needed me on so many games I didn’t have much time for casuals. Sorry if I didn’t play as hard as I did in tournament… my KoF brain was pretty much broke after those grand finals.

Wednesday is Charlotte, Thursday is Greensboro, Friday is Fayetteville, then of course WNB is Wednedsay as well.
If you really wanted to make tons of cash you can just do WNB and pick up like 300 bucks from there per week plus your EZ and ReSe tournaments while winning most of the games at the greensboro ranbats which then could put you at enough points to get the all expenses paid trip to seasons beatings or whatever major which is like a 500 dollar value right there as well sorta. You could live the dream man
WNB is closer to 150-200. Like I said it’s still more cost effective to just get cash payout but I don’t mind traveling just for the comp. I’ll use WNB to fund my trips to ranbats lol
Plus I’m not guaranteed to win every time TBH. Many of the KoF players have it in them to beat me, I just keep clutching it out somehow every tournament. Havok has beaten me on two occassions in Marvel, and I wouldn’t put it past Will or OJ to sneak a win once in a while too. SFxT is the only game I feel really confident in winning pretty consistently.
WOW…that’s all I got to say…thank you so much for all the POSITIVE FEEDBACK that you guys have given us…everyone is pleased with everything that we are working so hard to accomplish and we are so proud to hear that you all had a blast, our work is paying off and it goes to show that we are doing it right…thanks to all of you who in one way or another have helped us out to grow into better fighting game event organizers…on behalf of the Tierless Heroes Team I like to thank everyone that came out to WNB…you guys are supporting these events more and more and they are only getting bigger and better. We are here for the FGC of Raleigh and the nearby areas and without you guys this wouldn’t be possible.
Last WNB Episode 12, the CEO of Champps was there among other members of the board and they LOVED what they saw and what we, TH and WNB, are doing…Daniel the manager of Champps is talking more sponsorship benefits with the main CEO, you guys ready??? POT BONUS!!! Yes…we are talking about a pot bonus, at the moment we dont know how much it would be but lets hope that it goes through and we can get at least some cash on top of the pot prizes…we will be posting the news when this gets confirmed (if it does) so lets hope for the best since this would just be more than amazing. What do you guys think???

KOF was amazing, so hype! Some players that saw what was going on mentioned picking up the game due to the hype that you guys brought, awesome stuff. We are working on the streaming but due to the internet issues that the venue has we might not be able to stream, however we will set up recording stations with commentary and will later upload matches to TH YouTube channel. And yes…Im sorry and apologize deeply for breaking the rule of running the KOF tourney and not entering it LOLOLOLOL we will enter to get bodied next time but I dont promise anything LOL JK good stuff bro.
KOF will be ran on the weekly basis, seems like the community is really hype about it so we bring what they want. KOF and UMVC3 will be run for the time being. Come out to WNB and have a good time.
