Apparently he’s friends with Dayasha (spelling?) who lives in Raleigh and happened to visit on the same weekend as the tournament.
Around 30 or so entrants, hopefully as Tracey builds a name for himself it will continue to grow.

The marvel competition was actually surprisingly strong yesterday. Between Me, OJ, KBrad, Limbo, Will, Mark and Jose there was a lot of potential people that could have won. It was a good thing that I went to WNB to remind myself that I was rusty as hell so I could spend all Friday practicing. Limbo is apparently the best player from Chicago (as far as marvel was concerned) and has just recently moved to Wilmington. He pretty much bodied everyone in casuals and ended up getting 4th overall.

For anyone in the Greenville area, ECU has started to hold game nights on campus. Its looking like these will be a weekly thing, probably every saturday. Its mostly smash and starcraft players now but there is a good handful of us that play AE and UMVC3. We are trying to grow the scene as much as possible, as well as get players who play other fighting games ( need people to play BB/KOF with me lol). When the next event is confirmed, i will post it here on SRK for anyone who is interested.

That’s not too bad, and really I think that these months after major events or holidays always lag behind a bit with stuff coming up. Atleast it was big enough to have fun and small enough for him to learn how to run things. It’s like you wouldn’t want to pile a July 2011 on him or it was June or something that we had close to 100 that would have been overwhelming.
I actually showed up to your event however the fighting game people hadn’t shown up yet, only smash and dota2 (I personally love dota2 however I didn’t bring my desktop). If your interested in playing KOF I can send you a PM about when we play during the week.
