these storms should be in Raleigh by about 3pm. I wouldn’t play with these if you’re in Raleigh- this is an Oklahoma-style tornado outbreak potentially, not your typical weak NC tornados.

hmm I like this question, I think the easiest thing to do IMO is make Dark Phoenix a mode activated by a super much like Dante’s demon mode, but with out the reset of full life. Once activated like properties of Dark Phoenix, have the energy drain along with her buffs. The trick would be time of the countdown…say 10 real time seconds and cost of meter, whether it would be 1 or 3, Of course make it:
Pros:
Early DP mode
Don’t have to reserve yourself to keep 5 bars, so you can utilize your other 2 characters’ full potential
Cons:
No resurrection with annoying burst
Limited Duration of being Dark Phoenix
No reset on life bar (so players will think twice about activating with 30% life, and would try to utilize her healing super more)
I think this would separate the real Phoenix players, still making her a threat.
Elite Zone: Thanks for the people who showed up, the day of the session I guess doesn’t matter regarding Friday and Saturday, but I know people like to play at state on Saturdays. Once this is more establish then both days would be fine, my personal stake in this is providing equipment, once there is enough system and sticks out there, I can just leave early on Friday and Saturdays, doing 2 days of 5-7am sessions is not ideal to me. Just give me some input, I know for sure John wouldnt mind 2 days of the fighting gamers there, I just wanted Fayetteville to have a scene again, once its established, I’ll go back into Hermit Mode LOL

I’m hearing sirens everywhere and heard tornadoes touched down near raleigh and apex. All I have to say is stay safe and i’m going to sit at my home until it clears up because over where i’m at it is very bad.

That’s a bullshit claim and you know it. Justin’s not some sort of magical tournament winning machine. He’s a good player, but he can’t make a character do anything that you can’t make him do. Thor has a lot of issues, but when he gets into grab range he becomes SCARY AS HELL. Every hit either kills you or sets you up for a bullshit reset that will definitely kill you. He’s a grappler with a fucking beam special, an airdash, and flight. That by itself means a lot.
So not only does KnuckleDust’s abuse of Tornado Throw destroy television sets, it causes actual real life tornadoes. Chill, bro.

Since the world was clearly against me going to Raleigh tonight as planned, I stayed here, and James dropped by. We played Guilty Gear for like 2 hours. That game is FUCKING AMAZING.
Its honestly pretty hard to quantify what Justin does with a character or team. Part of it is his defense is so good thats its hard to get a hit on him. And part of it is it seems most people will tighten up when they play him. I’ve seen good if not great players just drop combos on him, not even flashy stuff, just stuff they’ve been doing the entire tournament.
