Question to anyone who has mvc3 dlc:
How does Jill and Shuma feel to you in this game? The reason i’m asking is because I can’t afford the dlc atm so I’d like to hear some peoples opinions.
But yeah, if you want to play the game…get the damn characters or get left behind. Or maybe you cheap motherfuckers didnt realize that the COLLECTORS EDITION of the game came with both characters and it was only $10 more. HMMMMMM, who woulda thunk it?
The only reason I didn’t purchase the collectors edition is I was afraid the game would be ass and NC would drop it before DLC was released. I almost dropped the game after the first luckies. Me and Marvel are cool now though.
And another thing. If I hear one more person complain about how long a fucking 1 hour drive is to play games, I’m going to make the 2-4 hour drive to wherever you are and personally revoke your license to talk about how you want to play these games competitively. If you aren’t up for road time, then competitive fighting games CLEARLY aren’t for you.
Y’all told me that y’all want to meet up on Fridays and Saturdays but you didn’t specify a time.

If you want to come to the Fayetteville sessions at Elite Zone then there are some things I should tell you. The venue is nice and located in one of the biggest business districts in Fayetteville so there are a lot of restaurants open (I know y’all get hungry). There are around 40 setups but they do run on HDTV’s so lag is possible. I talked to one of the employees there and he said that the setups can possibly be ran without post processing which would make it better but still not perfect (bearable is a better word I suppose). It is a gaming lounge so you do have to pay to get in but the hours/rates are better than any I’ve seen, plus they discount for groups. The setups are 360 only and they only have one copy of MvC3 and SSF4 each (with no DLC) so if you have spare sticks, copies, or memory cards it would be great. They said if we can bring in a consistent group of players that they wouldn’t mind buying more copies of the game and letting us host tournaments. I just want to gauge everyone’s interest.
I’d be up for some fayetteville games. I’m only like forty minutes away, that’s cake considering that the last few gatherings I went to were like 3 hours.
imo they suck and are not worth downloading. the only thing good about shuma is his assist other then that hes pretty ass. it is hard to play on point with him and getting in with him is a bitch. i didnt download jill but i know you have to get in to do any damage with her and getting in with jill is also a bitch because she has no air dash or anything that really helps her get in, oh yeah and her hypers are shit and do like no damage.

When I made my DLC hate comment I was actually impersonating those who complain about it but not taking into the consideration the multiple times Jimmy posted valid reasons why Capcom even had DLC characters. Thus why I jokingly said no one reads his posts
Too complicated of a joke? Maybe, but I have no problem with the DLC’s. I bought Shum and Jill cause I wanted to. For BB I didn’t buy Valk cause I didn’t care about him. And the only reason I bought Makoto was for Sam.
Any ways, I like Shuma Gorath a lot. He has really fun combo’s and setups. Relaunch combo’s with mystic stare are flashy. Haven’t played him in an actual match but he seems to desperately need a good assist and his mixup game doesn’t seem strong. BUT MAN THIS CHARACTER CAN TECH THROW LIKE CRAZY. I have a whole bunch of tech-throw setups with this guy.
As for Jill, honestly with dedication, she’s probably gonna be one of the best/most slept on characters in the game. I don’t think anyone has as good of a mixup game as she does. But man is she hard to play. I’m having a hard time wrapping my head around her but I’m gonna keep on trying her out.
Jill’s gun super does a good amount of damage if the opponent is in air. Plus her feral dash has invincibility frames which can help her get in. Plus this video was released how to continually dash on the ground with her feral dash and not come out of it. If done properly, she can be on the on other side of the with just 2 dashes and almost instantly at that.
youre entitled to your OPINION and are fully entitled to spout all the baseless garbabge like you just did but the FACT of the matter stands that if you want to remain on top of things in this game youre gonna have to get the dlc. the last thing i wanna hear about after a tourny/session is character unfamiliarity.
i think im gonna ride shotgun with Matt to revoke some licenses to talk.
@zoogstin: i played against my friend’s shuma and the combos he can do are ridiculous!! i can’t wait to see if desk can crack jill and unlock some of her potential.
