The top games seem to be MVC3 as most played an Arcana Heart 3 is second most played. Tekken isn’t all that popular anymore nor is Blazblue. Personally I can kinda see in the future when AE comes out that it will be SSF4/MVC3 again and everything else is just a side game but hoping AH3 is still widely played. I wouldn’t mind for Tekken or BB getting popular again either, but to answer your question yes right now it seems AH3/MVC3
Hoping we can get a gathering this weekend since i’m feeling well and ready to play some AH3.
is AH3 really being played more then SSF4 in NC? i honestly dont see hows that possible considering the game hasnt even came out for the 360 which is at least half of NC’s FGC.
Yeah, SSF4 > AH3. Alice-chan is just going by the 5 people that play Arcana at NC State, one of them me. I don’t think it’s played anywhere else in the state, and I’m pretty sure more than half a dozen people are still playing Super.
I’m going to pick up Arcana next week. I have no idea who I should start with or anything, but I’ll give it a shot.
The last Lucky’s made me convinced that it’s a good game (and was the reason why I went, I wanted to see if AH3 could be something I’d like or not.)
I’ll probably have to play online though, unless State folks do something mid-week at some point. I haven’t been to State in years since one of my friends moved away from Avent Ferry. Hillsborough was a huge mess last time I went there. Being at State is what made me an SNK fan back in the day.
How much/how serious I play it will depend on how much I end up liking MK9, which I am hype for, because it’s different. Sony really screwed AH over by putting it out same day as MK9.
BTW I wouldn’t worry about AE poaching players from AH. The PSN release is gonna help, cause it will get people like me willing to spend $30 but not the $80-90 it did to import.
You assholes should stay later for My SAKE. /end selfish rant. But I wanna get some good practice in on SSF4 this Friday sesh in fayetteville. I’d like to win a tourney in it at some point in my life. /end selfish rant seriously this time.
Oh and if anyone wants to come bug me at work, come to electronics on skibo road walmart and maybe i’ll get you 10% off a bag of chips or something.
What time is everybody showing up at Elite Zone tomorrow? I’m up for some more SSF4 and a little MVC3. I’ll also bring my PS2 stick again in case yall wanna get in some more late night 3S.
The majority of people at the Boone gathering last week played at least one game of AH3. Granted, the level of Arcana play here is pretty low, but there’s interest. It also saw a quite a bit of play at gaming club events before MvC3 came out and everybody wanted to see that more.
Overall I agree with the MvC3, SSFIV, AH3 ordering though.
I was just figuring based off the hotel gathering and NC state along with what my friend in Boone tells me. I was pretty sure SSF4 was dead, if someone is playing by all means let me know I guess it’s just RDU who doesn’t play. The only thing I hear is MVC3 all day every day and a touch of AH3 but yea that was pretty much my reasoning based off what i’ve personally seen. SSF4 being my secondary game it’d actually be great to get in touch with the people who are playing.
If Elite Zone is more convenient for you a bunch of us are planning on playing May 6th.
Demo, shame on the MK- I know you tried to deliver. At least these last few days will be full of work. At least Tuesday will be hype for me when I wake up. Just wish I could take the PS3 into work, but that might really be pushing it.
I can’t show to most tournies on weekends due to working mid shifts and double shifts around the weekend. Doing double shift tomorrow. I do appreciate how you rep the AH comm right though, keep it up.
I just hope playing MK and AH combined doesn’t cause some weird side effects.
